Aspen Dental Dental work

I took my son for tooth pain they did some

x rays and said he needed a root canal but would need to send me to an office an hour away because they couldn’t do it at the current office. They also said he would need some deep cleaning over several appointments. We applied for care credit at which time they charged me for the root canal and future deep cleaning appointments. Not happy about being charged for services I had not received but they said that is how we do it. After driving to the other office they informed me they would not be able to do the root canal and needed to send us to an orthodontist. We went back to the original office for the deep cleaning at which point the dentist spent maybe 5 minutes supposedly deep cleaning his teeth. I decided we were going to go somewhere else since I felt like they were just tossing me around and not really being honest, or giving the best care. I canceled my future appointments and got a refund for the root canal but they only partially refunded me and still owe me for visits we did not go to. I do not recommend Aspen Dental. They seem to just want your money and are rude if you try to question if what they are doing is truly the best option. No need to charge for services before they are given if you don’t intend to steal money from people.

Aspen Dental - Full bottom dental implant

I had a full bottom implant that was completed in August 2023. The implant does not fit. I had gone back to the office 3 times to have adjustments made. On the last visit the technician said that she couldn’t shave much more off because there just wasn’t anywhere to take it off. She wasn’t a regular employee. She was doing some extra training there, but she...

Aspen Dental - Dentures

This concerns the Aspen dental located at 3425 Erie Blvd East, Syracuse N.Y. I bought the top of the line dentures just short of 7 years ago. I had lost between 35-40lbs and my dentures were falling out every time I talked, tried adhesive but not what I had to do when they were first fitted. So I called Aspen located at said address, talk to person answering...

Aspen Dental Terrible service, bait & switch. Paid for invisaligns & 4 retainers.

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! And I'm not EVEN going to get into my wife's experience with Aspen!

We saved up to buy the Invisalign's for us both. I wish I could attach my call log here. But NO communication or follow up at all from Aspen Office. I had to make 16 Calls out to the Delaware location myself to follow thru on the stages & process. 2 Missed calls from Aspen, which I called back that same day on both. Only 2 incoming calls from Aspen thru this whole experience. I even had to stop by into the store front twice get someone to reply to me. Which I got "We'll follow up. Doctors with a patience!"

Several attempts to follow up on my next sets of retainers. Go into the store & they couldn't find them for 10 mins.? Another time they had to call & see where they were. Just so much turnover & new people in that store Lost! NO follow up or follow thru with me. I'm always reaching out to Aspen to find out what's going on with my next step of the procedure.

NOW the WORST PART of the Experience!

They did my Final Scan for the permanent retainers. Waited to hear from. Nothing? Made calls. "Let me check into that & get back with you. The doctor is with a patience!" Nothing? More calls to follow up. "Oh, they lost the scan & we need to redo your final scan. Can you come back in again?" Seriously! Back in for another scan. Which once I got there, something was said about it was still in the system, which I saw on the screen & just was never sent/approved over?!? Final Retainers sent out a second time. Again waited & waited. NO calls. I'm calling Aspen again to follow up on my stuff with you. Again "Let me get back with you..."

Note that there was several months between these stages of the process! Finally got a call they were in. Went to store to pick up. They handed me my final retainers to try on. Felt OK but seemed little bigger in size. I just figured it was the Final Retainers & for durability. They handed me the box it came in & out they sent me! See ya! To only get home to look closer & see they have done a bait & switch on me. I PAID for Invisalign's & they sent me out the door with your name brand box & retainers MOTTO? We PAID for Invisibles NOT Mottos Retainers!

Was also told we were to get 4 final sets of retainers thru Invisalign. Wife ONLY got 1. ONE final set of retainers. Not even a back-up set? I did get 4 pairs...BUT of the MOTTOS!

Something needs to be done here!

Claimed loss: REFUND!

Desired outcome: HALF REFUND & EXTRA RETAINERS FOR MY WIFE!!PAID FOR INVISALIGN

Aspen Dental billing

After 8 months I received a bill from Defiance Ohio. I called them and they said they are not responsible for billing. I have called every number I can find about Aspen and was on hold till my arm fell asleep. So here I go again Earlier this week 2/25 I received a bill for services that were for 6/2/2023. This is the first I had heard of it. Aspen is always good about doing things without my knowledge or permission. This must of been one of those things so bill me 8 months later and expect to pay.

Claimed loss: $139.00

Desired outcome: I feel I should not have to pay for something 8months old when I have never heard of this before

Aspen Dental Deceptive Advertising

Aspen Dental engages in false advertising on their website. The prices listed on the website are far less than the prices you get from each practice. They refuse to give any pricing on the phone or in email and insist that you make an appointment to "discuss" pricing. In my particular instance, the website offered $500 off their best denture. The office in Warrington didn't know about the offer and couldn't find it online. I took the office manager's business card, went home and looked up the site, and sent her an email showing what the site offered.. $500 off the comfilite denture. I emailed her two more times to get the exact cost of my denture but she failed to respond. BEWARE...these practices are intentional!

Aspen Dental Fixing problems

Its been a while since I have wore my teeth each time I go back tell them my complaints they do a little adjustment and expect it to be fixed. My top plate is made lopsided the one side dosen't go over my gum and everything I eat or drink washed the plate loose, when I told them this they said there is nothing they can do about it. Also I had implants for my bottom teeth full plate there is a big gap in the back that food just funnels through and have to take out all the time while eating again I was told that is the way they are suppose to be. I'm sorry but no that is not suppose to be. I spent over 8000 dollars for my teeth and I think they should be fixed right. I havent used my teeth in 6 months and am very dis appointed I will never recommend aspen dental

Thank you

Aspen Dental Extraction and implant

In fall of 2022 I went to aspen dental to get an extraction and implant. I had a $1500 quote from other dentist one hour drive away. Aspen quoted me at $1021.77 after insurance for complete implant a to z. After 9 months the implant was completed and I asked on the way out if I owed anything and they said I was all set everything was prepaid. On 2/16/24 the sent me a bill for $1,822.73 for implant. That's 7 months after I never went back there. (I never went back because they screwed up a minor filling 3 times and had to have another dentist fix.)

Also to the irs, all the work they were charging me for they would give a discount for exact same amount, so if I got $1000 work done they would charge insurance $1000 and give $2000 discount, maybe to scam write offs on taxes.

Claimed loss: $1,822.73 random overcharge and new billanother dentist had to fix their work after 3 attempts by them $115.50scamming irs millions

Aspen Dental Dentist and office rude and unethical

The worst experience imaginable. I’ve had several friends and family warn me about Aspen Dental, 4001 Denny Avenue, Pascagoula, MS, but nothing could have prepared me for the series of lies and corruption from the administrative staff to the dentist himself.

I checked in early with two admin assistants who were immediately cold, unprofessional, aggressive, aloof, and snide. I completed the paperwork, and provided two forms of very good insurance, despite the lies of one admin assistant who ineptly (and unethically) played lawyer and falsely advised me on what the law required. I almost left immediately as I sensed a scam, and in hindsight should have left right away.

Over the next 2 hours and 20 minutes (0950 to 1220), I was moved among four rooms, received in depth X-rays from a very sweet and professional dental assistant, but also received false and contradictory information from dental nurse and dentist. I was told several times that I was being assessed for the “type of cleaning” that would be best, and that I would be able to choose once all of the “prep work” was completed. After two hours of being moved around, I was treated to alternating sweet and aggressive staff, getting false and contradictory information on my insurance and the type of cleaning and the next steps and the condition of my teeth and the purpose of the equipment (etc) from several staff. Finally I got the hard up-sell scam from a third admin assistant and from the dentist himself. I was told that I had to choose the most expensive treatment, and that none of my insurance would cover anything.

As I left to the lobby, on my departure, the most aggressive admin assistant loudly stated that the gingivitis deep cleaning was “the only treatment that was legal to provide.” Again, unprofessional at best and malpractice at worst. This was the final step of the scam. The whole staff lied, bullied, and attempted to scare me into the most expensive treatment that coincidentally wasn’t covered by my insurance. The dentist even came to the lobby and aggressively confronted me, saying that the admin assistant “never said that.” A complete lie.

After 30 years of testifying in federal court, I know false legal advice and unethical behavior when I hear it. The more the dentist insisted, “you didn’t hear that,” the more the scam became obvious. The whole office was scared at being called out for the unprofessionalism, the lies, and the bullying. When the dentist realized that I knew what I heard, and knew it was a scam, he meekly said, “well three employees thought you were rude.” I’m sure they did. It’s hard to confront a liar and a bully without doing so clearly and directly. I’m sure they felt I was rude of me not to go along with the scam.

I escaped this scam, after wasting almost two and a half hours, and immediately went to another dentist (Bienville Dental Group). They were wonderful, professional, and honest. No scam, no lies, no bullying, no alternating sweet and aggressive treatment (common among scams). They were able to verify my MetLife dental insurance in less than 30 seconds (Aspen couldn’t verify it with more than 30 minutes “effort”). After some brief X-rays, I received the thorough and professional cleaning and checkup I had hoped to receive from the first.

What an ugly experience of lies and corruption at Aspen Dental. I can only be thankful that this scam, and the very rude and unprofessional dentist and staff didn’t trap me in their lies.

I have discussed this experience with several friends (more than 10) who are also dentists and dental hygienists working in Louisiana and California, and every one of them were shocked and apologetic, but not surprised. They have each heard of such experiences with Aspen Dental before. Additionally, I have reported this incident to the Dental Advisory Board, the Better Business Bureau, and have left reviews on several platforms.

Shame on Aspen Dental for bullying clients, especially the older clients, into paying exorbitant prices and lying to the patients they’re supposed to help.

Claimed loss: None

Desired outcome: Let others know so they don’t experience what I did. Hold Aspen Dental dentist accountable for the lies, the scam, the unethical legal advice, the bullying, and the rude aggressiveness.

Aspen Dental Total Nightmare of Poorly Fitting Dentures

Had to replace my lower dentures so made an appointment with Aspen Dental--should have read reviews first! Took 2 weeks to get the denture but it was too big. Was told to give it 2 weeks but couldn't give it 2 days. She actually pushed it into my mouth and I told her it hurt and was too big. It actually brought tears to my eyes. She never tried to adjust them at all! I called to complain and it took me 1 1/2 hours for them to answer. Got no satisfaction except be told that their phone flashes and doesn't ring. What!? Called another Aspen in another city where they told me to come in and that they could definitely help me. Just went today, was there an hour but walked out a happy patient with teeth that fit! I if I had checked reviews, I would never have made an appointment with the one in Onalaska, WI! They were terrible from the get go!

My dental insurance with Humanna informed me by phone that they sent the clinic two checks $135. and $270. for 3 extractions done by Dr. Crist up to 2/5/2024. I told this to Humanna representative on 02/16/2024 that afternoon. The representative stated possibly looks suspicious and i need to get in contact with Aspen corporate authorities ASAP.

Aspen Dental incompetence in scheduling

I have never seen a office that is so messed up as this one, I called and made an appointment for a filling that fell out just a simple surface filling, I was given an appointment for 3 weeks later, when I got there they had me down for an emergency visit and was going to take exrays to find where the abcess was, I told them I did not have an abcess only needed a surface filling replaced and they told me I would have to come back April the first for filling, this is the most incompetent thing I have ever heard, by then the tooth will probably be bad and need extracted, never did see the dentist. I love Dr, Graham but the office people are so incompetent. If this tooth rots in the next 7 weeks I will be talking to an lawyer. Crazy!
