Williams & Williams Auctions review: Failure to refund funds 1

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Was winning bidder for 879 Chalet Village Blvd., Gatlinburg, TN. They took $2625 from my bank account via electronic transfer for Buyer's fee, Earnest money. They never gave me contact for the "bank" that was the seller, but told me it was "Bank Of America". Bank of America never closed on the property and I could only contact Williams & Williams to see what was going on. Finally, since the "Close on or before Jan. 18, 2012" date passed and no closing had taken place I asked for my money back. They "suddenly" could not do an electronic transfer of funds back to my account...then it was email after email saying "the check will be there tomorrow"...then no answer to my calls and I could just leave a message. So, now no house and no money!
STAY AWAY from this business is best I can say. Tomorrow I go get a lawyer and see about breach of 2 contracts and theft of funds!

Last Winter when we were visiting friends in SC we looked at a cleared house lot near our friends house .We wrote down all the information from the signs Williams and Williams auction had posted on the property and I took pictures of the cleared house lot..When the lot came up for bid we bid on it and was high bidder.We were pretty sure we had the right lot because I had taken some of the same pictures Williams and Williams had posted on their bidding site.. Our contact person @ Williams and Williams Jessica Miszewski was very helpful finding someone to do the closing .And we received several e-mails from her about the lot and other e-mails about other places Williams and Williams had coming up for auction ..I called Jessica a couple times and she was always helpful. When we received the information on the deed to the cleared lot we had bid on I sent a copy to our friend in SC and she started looking into the deed and getting it recorded with the county .That's when we discovered the imformation and deed was not to the property that we bid on But a wood lot . The only thing the same about the lot we bid on and the lot we have a deed to is they are both in the same town.I then tried to call Jessica at Williams and Williams Had to leave a message That Jessica never returned a call I then e-mailed Jessica .I never received a e-mail back.But Williams and Williams did take me off their list telling about auctions coming up..
