Vinint review: Service and overall tactics

My husband and I signed up for Vivint because one of our neighbors recommended it. They have since left Vivint. If you are reading this -- DONT BUY IT. We are 10 years in and I have just had enough. SHOULD HAVE LEFT YEARS AGO. The system and service is entirely ineffective. BUT it wasn't always like that. In the beginning I understood they were trying to expand their services here in Alaska. Service was ok but never ever good. My husband works in the Arctic and I was working overseas often. Every couple years the equipment we had was either outdated or Vivint no longer supported it and we were still paying for the equipment...but to resolve the problem you buy new equipment and on and on it goes. We wanted an operational alarm system working in our home. There are volumes of problems with customer service. We were locked into the payment plan for the equipment and you you are obligated to stay with them until your service contract is over -- wish we never bought the new equipment trying to hold onto a life line but hindsight is 20/20. I would never recommend VIVNT.
