S&S Towing

My vehicle was towed from my sister-in-law's apartment lot after I literally just ran in to grab my dog at 1:00pm in the afternoon. After I realized my car had been towed, I called my sister-in-law, and we made our way to Melrose Park as fast as we could as I had to be at work by 2:30pm. All of my belongings were in my car as I was literally just running in to grab my dog I only had my keys. We arrive at S&S towing; I tell the guy at the desk which car and he demands payment right away. My wallet was in my car, so he let me out to the lot to grab it and the second I get out there I see my front bumper literally hanging off. Plastics pieces from the bottom of the car are touching the pavement. I ask what happened and am told "there was already damages to the car before hand, we have photos before we towed" I ask to see these photos and am immediately shut down as "their policy" doesn't allow me to see photos of my own property. To have to pay over $200 for a tow is one thing, but then to damage my car and tell me there is nothing they can do about it is despicable. Not everyone's circumstances are the same, not everyone can afford a $200+ tow, PLUS costs to fix unexpected damages inflicted from the towing company. You can't do this to people's property and just expect them to figure it out or put them blame back on them.
