Purchased this vehicle four years ago with warranty. After driving my equinox for about two months I began hearing a noise when truning the steering wheel that sounds like a grinding. Returned to the dealership several times until the noise was heard vaguely by a member of ther service team at which time a whose or belt of some sort was put on. After a few days of driving following the service the same noise was heard in the say manner so a return trip was made to the dealership where the kept my vehicle to try and get it to mimic the noise I was hearing. So later on that day I received a call from (Lauren) service team member who told me that unfortunately you purchased yourself a noisy SUV. I made several trips about this to no avail but now that my warranty is over the noise according to (Lauren) and per General Motors is due to the weight of the oil recommended for this make/model and to make the grinding better but not competely repair I will now have to pay the dealership's service department 120.00 plus tax to hadle a problem that existed during my warranty and was brought to the service departments attention on numerous occasions. I feel that General Motors shold incur the cost to make my vehicle perform at its best.
