Rite Aid - prescription for Novolog

I am 79 years old and a 53 year type one diabetic. I usually got insulin in the mail but it was often late and warm. I decided to try RiteAid. I got my first 5 bottles there. No problem. Next time I renewed, they were on it. How ever I got a call when I didn't pick it up that day. (I never said I would). A few days later they said they were putting it back in the fridge since I didn't come right away. I never said I was picking it up that day or when I would. So the insulin was NOT in the fridge for at least 3 days. (a weekend).

Using the vials now they don't seem to work as well. I am giving myself more shots to keep my blood sugar in line. But it still is high. Could it be the insulin which was NOT refrigerated for 3 to 4 days? I got a call the 3 days after I ordered it saying since I didn't pick up the vials, it was going BACK to the refridge. WHAT? It sat out for 3 to 4 days? I would like an apology and 4 vials of good insulin.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and 4 vials that HAVE been in the fridge.

Rite Aid - pharmacy

Besides a few of the employees just having the worst attitude possible, one of them is nicknamed by many customers as [censored]ie lady; her attitude is just so bad, never smiles never says anything nice.

But that's not my main complaint today.
Doctor sends a prescription two days later it is still not filled.
Go in the morning and they say 2 hours, go back 6 hours later they say another hour or they're working on it. I have now been out of pain pills for 3 days.

It just doesn't seem to get filled. I have waited 6 days sometimes. A manager or somebody at corporate needs to go to that rite aid pull the prescriptions check the date they were called in and the date they were filled and see how long the lag is.

They're blaming the for 5-day power outage however they was slow before somebody needs to hire more employees for that pharmacy or get that store working properly.

one last item you don't get an update on your phone of your prescriptions there's no message sent to you saying it's ready because it's never ready.

Update on yesterday's complaint. I called the pharmacy today to see if my prescription was ready as promised. The person on the phone ..a tech I'm sure...said I have to check with the pharmacist. She came back said it was not ready and they were out and would not have the medication until tomorrow. I said I don't believe you and I will be coming to pick my original prescription up. I did that but before I left I told them their stories to me about why they aren't filling my prescription was bull crap and ask if they had done anything to my original that would cause a different pharmacy not to fill it..they said no. I took it to CVS Pharmacy. They ask me all the usual questions and had it filled within the hour. I must add that I was so upset with rite aid i couldnt even think straight . I dont feel i should just drop this. I dont know what steps I should take now . I feel something very wrong is going on there. I did make a call to my Dr and told him what was happening .

I would take legal action as this pharmacy is clearly being prejudice towards you and assuming the worst without talking with your doctor.

I really dont know where to start with this . I guess I'll start with my age . I'm 68 years old. A few years ago I was in a terrible accident . I had so many injuries and surgeries to try a repair my body I can't even list them . Finally I said no more surgeries I can't do it anymore . My Dr of 30 yrs agreed with me. he said it is now about your quality of life, so he prescribed me hydrocodone. With all the stuff that is going on with people over dosing and the addiction problems some pharmacist put every patient in that category. I use Rite Aid pharmacy in Bakersfield Ca. And Rite Aid in Grover Beach Ca . Because I live in both places . First they accused me of pharmacy shopping in front of other customers ...that was the beginning of my nightmare to get my pain medication once a month . I have been lied to by the pharmacist so many times. I have gone days with out my medication with no explanation. 4 months in a row I went to get it filled and she would look at my prescription and just say no so I would have to drive to the rite aid in Grover Beach which is 2 hrs away so they wouldn't accuse me of pharmacy shopping...I get it filled once a month and they always make me wait up to 5 days . That's 5 days with no pain medication that I have been taking for a long time. So my next month comes around and I take it to the pharmacy and they say it's to early to fill . I say no I go to my dr once a month and because you don't fill it on time doesnt make me early it make you late and me short on medication . There is so much more going on with this pharmacy and pharmacist. I turned my prescription in on the 17th and it still isn't ready they said they were out which I know is not the truth. They say that to me every month now. Once I turned my prescription in and was ask my birthday, they wrote it on my prescription then took it over to the pharmacist she didn't even look up..said she wouldnt fill it because my dr had forgotten to write the days date on it ...I had to drive 15 miles one way back to my dr to get him to write the days date on it. They would not call him ...took it back to the pharmacy...pharmacist looked at it said no she couldn't fill it because someone had written my birthday on the top of it ...I said your tech did when I brought it in before you made me drive 30 miles for a date, using the pink pen she has in her hand right now . So somebody please tell me if this is harassment...if not what is it ? There's much more and I'm not sure what to do about it .
