Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in Ogdensburg, N.Y. continues to fail our beloved pets. Today, I had an emergency with my established pet. I was told they had no doctor in today, or for the rest of the week, so they could not help my pet. I contacted the same company in Potsdam, N.Y. and was told the same thing. They did have a doctor present, but they could not assist my pet in their crisis. I was told due to "staffing issues." My mother took her beloved pet to the Ogdensburg office, where she has been established for numerous years. She knew something was wrong with her pet. He was having difficulty breathing and began coughing and gagging. As weeks went by, she continued to feel concerned. She brought her pet back to this same office, expressing the same concerns. Again, she was told their was nothing wrong with her dog, other than he is obese. By this time, he had lost weight and was coughing frequently. She was sent home and chastised for his weight. Her dog continued to become worse with the same symptoms. She took her pet to another veterinary office where it was confirmed he has congestive heart failure. He was treated, provided with medicine, and asked to return in 2 weeks. Town and Country in Ogdensburg continues to decline in their services. Years of faithful patronage does not matter any more. Our pets don't seem to matter. More often than not, they can't get your pet in, in a timely manner due to having no doctor. This is unacceptable. I understand staffing issues, but how does one run a business at the patient's expense? The lack of empathy or concerns this business has since it has been sold is astonishing. Anyone with a pet knows how important they are to a family. Our animals deserve better care and treatment. This is not the first time I have been refused service at a business that I have paid thousands of dollars to over the years to provide my pets care. Unfortunately, 2 of my pets are still patients there so I feel my options are limited. Not one person should be refused at an establishment they have been patronizing for numerous years. Please look into how they are running this business. I have no complaints with the Massena, N.Y. branch.

Desired outcome: Improved quality of care, ability to care for pets in time of need, especially in an emergency, especially for established patients!
