Tracy G. Sharkey of TJS Deemer Dana LLP arrested for stealing money from clients
Tracy G. Sharkey, a managing partner at TJS Deemer Dana LLP, a Georgia accounting firm who was convicted of stealing over $980, 000 from her clients, including a disabled veteran and an elderly person with Parkinson’s disease, was sentenced recently to serve 7 years in prison, Fulton County District Attorney said.
Dublin resident Tracy G. Sharkey, 48, who worked at the TJS Deemer Dana LLP accounting firm, was additionally ordered to pay her victims restitution as part of her sentence.
The DA reported the following victims are due restitution from Tracy G. Sharkey:
• The family of Sharkey’s disabled client, Shelby Jones of Atlanta, is due $343, 076.
• The family of a Dublin man with Parkinson’s Disease is due $259, 858.
• Community Hope Center, a not-for-profit, is due $347, 500.
• Brookington Condominium Complex in Dublin is due $32, 860.
Tracy G. Sharkey was arrested in mid-2013 for stealing her clients’ money while working for the Community Hope Center and the Brookington Condominium Complex in Dublin GA.
Sharkey pleaded guilty earlier this year to grand larceny, wire fraud, mail fraud, possession of a forged instrument and falsifying business records.
