Dear Community,

We are an New Zeland company that has unfortunately fallen victim to the deceptive business practices of a Chinese supplier: Tana (Ningbo) Houseware Co., Ltd (Chinese name: 泰纳(宁波)家居有限公司).

Below is their detailed contact information of TANA Company:

1. Contact Person and manager: Paul Yang 杨杰
2. Email: chinayang2@tanacn.com
3. Phone: +86 135 6789 9025; +86-574-289 00 225
4. Address: 704#, China-Base Mansion, 666, TianTong South Rd, YinZhou, NingBo, China, 315100

On July 31, 2019, TANA Company signed a proforma invoice numbered TA190722 (hereinafter referred to as the "original contract") with us, agreeing that we would purchase goods such as sponges, foams, and sponge cutting machines. The initial contract amount was USD 42,160, which was later adjusted to USD 32,160 through negotiation. According to the original contract terms, we should first pay a 50% advance payment, and the remaining 50% balance should be settled before shipment. TANA Company promised to complete the delivery within 30 working days after receiving the advance payment. We have strictly fulfilled our payment obligations, paying a deposit of USD 22,000 on August 9, 2019, and a balance of USD 10,000 on January 21, 2020, with a total payment of USD 32,000 (see Annex 2 for payment records), which has been confirmed in writing by TANA Company.

We have fully fulfilled our payment obligations under the current contract. However, TANA Company has committed dual breaches in this transaction: first, despite our multiple written reminders, TANA Company has failed to deliver any goods as agreed; second, the installment refund arrangement reached based on the settlement agreement (agreed to refund the total payment of USD 32,000 in four installments) has not been fulfilled. As of the date of this letter, TANA Company has neither delivered the goods nor refunded any payment.

The actions of TANA Company not only showcase a blatant disregard for ethical business conduct but also indicate a pattern of deceitful behavior in commercial transactions. We have been left with no choice but to pursue legal action against them to seek the justice and restitution we rightfully deserve.

This public disclosure serves as a warning to others in the business community about the unscrupulous practices of TANA Company. It is our hope that by shedding light on their dishonest behavior, we can prevent potential victims from falling prey to similar deceitful tactics. We urge fellow businesses to exercise caution and vigilance when engaging with TANA Company and offer our full support to those who may have also been affected by their actions.

Sincerely,
SUITE COMFORT
Rikki Tokley
