I set up cable tv through DISH network on the internet...a 3rd party called Sterling Satellite picked it up. They were tacking on so many fees that I cancelled before the setup date. They are now trying to tell me the 49.99 is non-refundable because I talked on the phone with them...call DISH directly!
I did not have any problems with Sterling, in fact, I thought their turnaround time of refunding my money was awesome. I guess people might need to get all of the facts and just talk to their customer service department. Very satisfied.
I am in the same position with DISH NETWORK through Sterling. What a joke. They supposedly installed all three, internet, phone and TV. When I tried to disconnect my internet from another provided my phone and internet was disconnected. I called them the same day to cancel and thats when all the runaround started. Finally my DISH NETWORK was cancelled and now I have to get my money from Sterling. Never again. Don't think about switching because I guess they are taught to lie to you. Thanks but no thanks.
I call dish tv to install and couldn't due to site problems, now I have a $49.99 charge from Sterling. I called but have to wait until Monday for an answer. I too, will be sending this to the Attorney Generals office. THIS IS BS

I am having the same problem trying to get the $49.99 refunded. In the process of a complaint to the Attorney General's office (Washington State). Hoping that will get some attention to this Rip-Off establishment.
