Scam, lied to, Screwed!
I purchased 3 cases of Beef, Chicken and Seafood. Told I was getting a better deal because it was the end of the day and the driver/sales person was traveling back to Maine from NH. $700.00 Ok I know that's alit of money. I know better because I should have done my homework before purchasing. The portion sizes are small and smaller after cooking. The steaks are tough.
The chicken so far just ok. The fish case looked fine until you open the individually wrapped pieces. Horrible, atrocious, stinking, nasty smelling fish. Was told and shown what was supposed to be Haddock, was actually Cod (marked on the side of the box) totally inedible. The Shrimp (cocktail size) when opened smelled like they came from a dirty river. I actually took the entire bag out and threw over a bank outside!
What a rip-off. BUYERS BEWARE!
Desired outcome: Refund but they do not honor
I also purchased steaks and seafood from this company alongside the road. I thought better of it but my wife mentioned how cheap it was compared to a restaurant so I WENT FOR IT. Big mistake . I paid 621 dollars and got lots of boxes but the steaks were tough and grissely. The shrimp was mediocre at best and I would warn anyone not to buy from them.
I purchased two boxes of the combo beef. Worse mistake I have ever made. Didn't get a chance to review the seller because we stopped roadside and pressure salesman Manny was a true car salesman. Tried two of the best filet cuts and they were so tough I couldn't even chew it. Tried one sous vide method which I have used for tough cuts in the past and it didn't get much better. I am disputing the credit card charge because I feel I got ripped off. Let's see what happens. I paid $12 a pound for two boxes of shoe leather. I cooked the steaks to a perfect 130 degrees with red center (see pic), so anyone questions how I cooked them can see. I have been cooking steaks for decades and know what I am doing.
