I was treated at Salem Hospital in October of 2009. All of my deductibles were satisfied earlier in the year. In March of 2011 I received a statement saying I owed this group $164.00 for services from a certain doctor associated with South Sound Inpatient Physicians PLLC. I called after the first bill arrived asking why and didn't get an answer. In April I got the next bill and called Meredith a second time, another person answered, and I asked what was up and they said that Regence Blue Cross paid me the $164.00 and not the doctor. I don't have record of that. I asked them to send me the letter from Blue Cross and the said the could and would. They didn't. So the same thing happens the third time and I call again and get the same answer. Nothing comes. So they turn me over to collections. This is borderline illegal. I want to pay the doctor but want to understand why, or even if, it is correct.
