We are in mortgage disaster with our home serviced and originated by Wells Fargo. We contacted HOPE NOW after being scammed luckily for only $300.00 the first time by a company that claimed to be able to help us save our home from foreclosure. Then we tried to deal with Wells Fargo ourselves, NO SUCH LUCK. We were referred to SMTCCAC, INC through HOPE NOW and went to the intitial meeting and sumibted our paperwork. we were told that we had to make our budget in a certain threshold, in order to be considered, so we allowed them to reduce the amount of our expenses to this magic range. Well we were denied by Wells Fargo for making too much money. This company will not return out phone calls, did not notify us that we had been turned down, did not return phone calls to Wells Fargo loan servicer assigned to our case and when I sent a lightly candid emial asking what was going on and why we were not being assisted, the respone was that the housing counsler that was assigned to our case had been out with health problems and did not like the tone of my email and never followed up or responed again. Phone calls go directly to inbox and not even a manager or supervisor will return calls from this company. I find it hard to belive that HOPE NOW is not working to ensure that homeowners dont fall victim to these kinds of tatics. I am sorry that the counselor had a health issue, but does that mean that I loose my home because someone is sick. wouldnt it be correct to have our caseload handled by another counselor. Why are people who are supposed to be helping lying to the public, Is there this magic number that is really needed in order to qualify for a loan modification. Wells Fargo says they dont want our home, but we have been working with them for over 3 years now trying for assistance. WHAT GIVES! How long do we hold out for HOPE?
