Smart Home Security The guy who came over on 9/12 didn't even tell me who he worked for

The guy who came over on 9/12 didn't even tell me who he worked for. I told him I was already dealing with another dealer, but he still wanted to give me a quote after checking out my house. He was kinda pushy though, trying to sell me their stuff while also making it seem like it wasn't that great (which is pretty weird if you ask me, but I guess it's how they do things). So, I finally got the document I asked for and saw the name of the dealer. Turns out, they're from out of state and have a bunch of bad reviews for doing crappy work, having lousy tech support, and doing sketchy stuff. I decided right then and there that I didn't want to do business with them. I said no to signing the agreement, but now I'm stuck being their customer and can't go with another dealer. Now I gotta wait a whole month to get a *** security system or settle for my second choice, 'cause I don't want any kind of contract with these guys.

Smart Home Security We got our *** security system installed in May by the installation tech

We got our *** security system installed in May by the installation tech. He caused multiple damages to our home. He fell through our ceiling while in the attic, wired our smart thermostat incorrectly to where the heat won't work (recently learned upon trying to turn on the heat for the first time since installation), cracked our door frame while drilling a magnet for the door sensor, and drilled a hole through the wall from the outside way off where he should have. The ceiling was repaired and further damage was done to the wall when trying to fix the hole coming from outside and now the exterior camera ain't working that it is wired to. We have tried contacting the regional manager, ***, multiple (more than 10 times) and the salesman, ***, on our account multiple times to get the issues resolved. The regional manager has continued to ignore our calls and emails and won't return voicemails. We just want everything repaired and working right.

Smart Home Security I signed a 3-year deal with *** on August 3rd

I signed a 3-year deal with *** on August 3rd. They told me I could cancel within 6 months if it didn't work right. They came, changed old stuff in my house, made holes in my walls, and left me with a broken and annoying system. Customer service ain't helpful and they've been real rude on the phone. I pay $60/month for monitoring, but I ain't getting nothin' from it. The geofencing don't work, the notifications don't work, nothin' works! I want this thing outta my house. Even the technician who set it up couldn't fix it. The rude customer service person said a technician would come today, but guess what? No one showed up! They gave me a number for a 'regional director' who don't answer or call back.

Smart Home Security Me and my partner, we signed up with Smart Home Security on March 3rd for an *** security system

Me and my partner, we signed up with Smart Home Security on March 3rd for an *** security system. They promised us two monitoring cameras for an installation fee of $199 and a monthly fee of $58.99. I specifically told them that I only wanted the cameras, not any extra gadgets. They assured me that the additional devices were included for "free" in the package and that I was only paying for the cameras I asked for. But guess what? The front camera wasn't even monitored by ***! I had to pay extra to monitor it myself. Can you believe that?

I wanted to switch to the basic package that the representative mentioned, but he told me I couldn't do it and that I had to talk to *** directly. So, I reached out to *** and you know what they said? They told me that all contract-related questions and billing issues should be directed to Smart Home Security. Can you imagine the runaround I'm getting?

The representative from Smart Home Security told me that if I wasn't happy with the system, I could cancel the contract without any charges and they would uninstall everything. But when I actually asked them to cancel the contract, they hit me with a bombshell. They said I only had 3 days from when I signed the contract to cancel it without paying a hefty 75% of the remaining cost. Can you believe the nerve?

I've been stuck in this contract for less than 2 months and I'm already regretting it.

Smart Home Security I called to cancel my alarm services

I called to cancel my alarm services. They transferred me to Smart Home Security (). I talked about the cancellation with them and they told me about the fees that would be charged "once cancelled". I was put on hold and the manager there tried to take the cancellation fees from my account 4 times while I was on hold. You can't charge a cancellation fee if the account hasn't been cancelled yet. Then my bank notified me about the attempted charges. I called Smart Security again and spoke to "***" who told me that if I want to cancel, they can deduct the cancellation fees. So, I contacted *** and they said that cancellation fees can't be added until 30 days after the cancellation. Then I called Smart Home Security and they said that the manager ***) would listen to the call and check what his representative said. But after a few minutes on the call, he said he doesn't have a recording to listen to. I want to complain about his actions and the illegal way they tried to charge unauthorized fees. Please tell me what steps I should take.

Smart Home Security Beginning in October , I started paying $63.99 per month ($767.88 total as of 9/28/22) for a home security system

Beginning in October , I started paying $63.99 per month ($767.88 total as of 9/28/22) for a home security system. But guess what? The installation never happened, and the system still doesn't work. I've been trying to get in touch with them for ages, and finally, on 9/15/22, I managed to talk to a representative. She said someone would come to finish the installation on Tuesday 9/20/22, between 8am and 11am. Well, I waited the whole day, and surprise, surprise, nobody showed up. I called the company THREE times, left voicemails each time, and guess what? No response. This company is a total scam! They charge you for a service they never deliver, and that's not just unfair, it's illegal! I want to cancel my contract right away, get a working security system, and get a refund for the past twelve months I've paid. They need to take action ASAP because I'm leaving the country in less than two weeks, and I need a functioning security system by then. I have no intention of doing business with these guys anymore. They're impossible to reach, and they can't fulfill their end of the contract in a whole year!

Smart Home Security I got the *** alarm system with the doorbell ring

I got the *** alarm system with the doorbell ring. From day 1, I've had problems with it. The tech came, but he didn't bring the doorbell. Two weeks later, after I called and asked what happened, the tech came and installed the doorbell. The doorbell didn't ring inside the house, and it didn't record when someone rang it. The tech said there was nothing we could do unless I changed my doorbell. I'm not going to do that because I was never told I had to in order for the doorbell to work. Another tech came and said they could install a wireless chime in my house. It kind of worked, but now the ring records randomly. Sometimes it records when there's nothing outside, and sometimes it doesn't when there's someone outside. I had several packages left at my doorstep, and it didn't record the person dropping them. I don't want another tech visit because that means taking another day off work. The tech told me they've had a lot of issues and complaints with the doorbells. I'm not willing to change my doorbell to make it work with *** because I wasn't informed about this conflict when I got the service. Also, the techs are signing and writing resolutions without me seeing or agreeing, so some of the things they wrote aren't true. They told me the only option was to pay the penalty fee or get a new doorbell. The techs have already told me that if I continue having issues, I'll need to change the doorbell in my house, not the *** one, for the *** doorbell to work properly. The service is in ***, NC.

Smart Home Security I moved my mother from TN to NC after my father died in April

I moved my mother from TN to NC after my father died in April. I wanted to make the transition easier for her. I called Smart Home Security LLC and set up everything for my mom's new home. They went to her house and sold her a system, thinking it was the one from ***. I didn't think much of it when "***" came early, as I asked them to fit us in. Then I got a call from *** asking why I canceled my original appointment. I checked and the appointment was canceled and the rate went up from $47.99 to $70! This was a big change for my mom's budget. I called Smart Home Security LLC and told them we already had a contract with ***. The owner, ***, called me a liar and said there was no *** contract at my mom's address. He said he wouldn't pick up the equipment but would match the original rate and remove the extra items they sold my mom. He didn't like my tone or that I called him out for his shady practices. I told him I had the *** contract but he didn't want to see it and hung up. Another person from the company called and offered to make it right, lower the cost, and install the correct equipment with a $100 rebate. I agreed and set up the appointment for the next day. The technician went to my mom's house and removed all the equipment! My mom called me in a panic and I talked to the tech who didn't know anything. I called the company multiple times and finally got someone who said they were sorry but had to remove their equipment because we already had a contract with ***. No apology to me or my stressed-out mom, and there's a hole in the wall! I called *** and they offered us a top-of-the-line system for $50 per month and a rebate for the trouble. But my mom has to wait a week for the new install. She's staying with friends now. My only goal was to make my mom feel safe after losing my dad, but this company's sales practices left her unprotected! I advise everyone to avoid them. They left a 72-year-old widow unprotected instead of leaving their equipment until it could be resolved properly.
