I was inquiring about a payday loan online. Came across a pop-up where you enter your information and they search for loans in your area. BAD IDEA! I received some emails back to fax them a signed statement that I do want their lone. Shoreline Online LLC deposited $250.00 into my checking account without my permission then.
I received a call today (6/30/2017) from a William Jackson of RPFS Financial Solutions & Mediations [protected] stating that I am being served courts papers in MD for Check Fraud. They say they are mediators for Shoreline Online LLC, that Shoreline is an online payday loan company that works with Cash Net and other payday loan companies. I told Mr. Jackson that I have no idea what he is talking about and that I do not use payday loans online. He told me he had my info; last 4 of my SSN#, where I work, bank name and last 4 digits of my account number. I asked him when was this money supposed to have been deposited in my account. He said July 2012. I had a puzzled look on my face. Told him that I did not take out this loan and I was not paying for something I didn't ask for. He kept telling me that his company was the mediator and that they would settle for $321.16 instead of $467.91 that they are suing me for. I told him that I had been robbed at gunpoint around that time, I had closed out all my accounts, credit cards and bank accounts, and that I was not paying for something I did not do. He tried to be very sympathetic about what happened to me. He told me that they were going to deliver courts papers to me today between 4-5 pm. I told him to send them on over. He told me that most of his clients settle out of court and I told him I don't SETTLE for something I didn't do and I'm not his clients. I told him I would see them in court. I'll just to have to wait and see if they deliver the papers. I have no problem going to court when I can prove my case. BE AWARE OF CALLS FROM [protected] OR ANYONE calling from RPFS & Shoreline Online LLC, CashNet and any online payday loans places. They are SCAM ARTIST trying to get your money. Never give your personal info out online or over the phone. It will come back to haunt you financially.
I've gotten the same messages, bill from back in 2011 for a payday that I doubt I ever took out. What's disturbing is that they had my account number, previous address, etc. I asked them for documentation indicating I owe this bill but they didn't want it. They only want to have me on record saying I wouldn't pay so they can proceed with litigation. Sounds like a poor attempt at a shake-down. If I ever receive lawsuit papers, I will be vigorously defending myself from these scam artists.
I am being harrassed too. threatening me with calling my employer and human resources. I have never even heard of shoreline online llc before. I would never use a website for a loan. I did not tae out loans (except for my mortgage). as per the previous gentlement comment - how do they have my e-mail, ss#, p;lace of employment?
These people has to be stopped...
I got a call from a company called Western saying that I got a check from Shoreline [protected] and gave them a closed bank account and I owe $550.00. Her name was Heather and she said she was a mediator and my paperwork was going to submitted to court. The thing is she had my email, social and place of employment. I have never borrowed money from a payday loan, I hung up and looked up Shoreline and all the info I got is bogus. What do I do? I am not angry, I just want to rectify the situation.
What ended up happening? The same thing is happening to me today!
