"making your magic right away " started on 11/17/2019 at 8:01 PM when I received my confirmation "Hooray! Your order has been placed!"
I was so excited my granddaughter would be receiving her first Frozen Holiday Wish Walt Disney World Castle Play Set for her 3rd birthday!
This was a Sunday night. Monday passes, busy at work, cell phone problems, couldn't receive or make calls. (Missed call from shopdisney)
Tuesday comes, busy at work, checked email and no shipping confirmation.
Wednesday same as above so at 7:07 PM I called customer service and was notified they haven't started the order yet because I didn't take the call on Monday.
I was told it was because of the dollar value that a verbal approval of the order was required. Have spent much more online with others, have never heard of this. Well because it was now Wednesday, I was concerned the presents would not be received (shipping out of state of course) by her Birthday party. The sweet customer service voice I was speaking to was sympathetic and put in the approval, change the priority 2 day shipping I paid for to next day. So I did feel that my little princess would receive her gifts on time.
Thursday, still no shipping confirmation but worked late so no call.
Friday 11/22/19 at 8:05 am I called again and asked why I haven't received a shipping confirmation. 16 min 40 sec on call with part of that on hold to find out they had not even processed my order because I am way down the order list. With this process - I question why I even upgraded to 2 day shipping! I did finally received partial shipping confirmation
On 11/23 I received an email
"Due to overwhelming demand and limited availability, your recent order will not include:
FROZEN HOLIDAY WISH WALT DISNEY WORLD CASTLE PLAY SET, quantity of 1
Please be assured that in the event that you were charged for this item, a credit has been issued to your account."

On 11/25, shopdisney withdrew the total order with the castle from my account. Waiting, Thanksgiving happens, life and work happens between then and last night.
So on 12/5, no word from shopdisney so I called customer service, long wait time to even get a person. Sweet customer service girl again - it must be a requirement that you sound like a princess on the phone. This call took 1 hr 40 min 37 seconds. Shopdisney only wanted to refund me the cost of the castle, no 11.73% sales tax nor the 2 day priority shipping that I paid for. Then they weren't going to refund my account in cash but in Disney money! So it took that long for shopdisney to agree on a refund that we both agreed on. Haven't received it yet, will give them a couple days before I call again and again and again if I have to!
Do not oversell items. This item should have been marked as "Sold Out". This is 2019 almost 2020, your inventory management needs much improvement.
Worst online shopping experience I have EVER had. No more shopdisney for this grandma of 3 girls!
