Where do I begin? My name is Kathleen Bradley. I contacted your company (Rooter Plus) on Friday evening. When I spoke with the lady on the phone explained the issues that I was having at our house (533 Hobson Rd Jasper, Ga 30143) I explained that we had just bought it about a year and a half ago. The property was a short sell/rental property (so we are unsure of when it had been pumped last or even if it had ever been pumped). She went through the details and said for a 1000 gallon tank and no more than 80 feet of hose and no roots grown over the tank making it inaccessible, then it would be $150. (My tank was 1000 and well under the 80 feet of hose mark. My husband went outside in the yard with them and showed them the area. They got the shovels and started digging around (neither technician called 811) we have cameras and sound on the front and side of the property. They continued to dig and then after the smell got worse they decided (then would be the time to call 811) the man from the gas company asked why they didn’t call before they started. Neither technician had answers. I ended up with 3 Atlanta Gas Light trucks in my yard because of the gas leak (it was spraying up into the air) the AGL company employee said there was a very clear mark caused by a shovel and one by a probe. My price jumped from $150 dollars to $800+ to pump it to $4,200 because they said the the drain field showed signs of failure until the neighbor……(the neighbor that they mentioned in the note from today is a license contractor that installs new septic tanks, septic lines, and so forth…. So it’s not just some neighbor.) offered to call the Jasper city inspector out to come look at it before we started repair. Then the technicians tone changed, very quickly. We even had another plumber come out and said that there was nothing wrong with it. I told them that was absolutely ridiculous and I was not paying the $4,200……one of the technicians recommended me to call and complain because the price wasn’t fair (he said it in front of several gas company employees, my husband, my neighbor, my daughter and others) I called and spoke with someone and I told them I shouldn’t have to pay anything considering the [censored]show that happened here at my home today. But agreed to pay the $400 to have the tanked pumped. I had to take my children and animals out of the house due to the large gas leak……I’m still very very upset with how poorly I felt like this was handled. This clearly needs to be addressed….I will be leaving a very detailed review online as well as filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau as it seems with many reviews, it’s the same story with the same problem and the same price with every visit. My number is [protected] or you can contact my Husband Corey [protected].

Desired outcome: Would like for the Company to own up to this mistake and at least give me my money back or at least the difference from the $150. (I was quoted over the phone and in person) but had to pay them $400.00. (difference is $250.00)
