PLEASE READ: Please save your money and go to a !CAHEEP ACCREDITED! school. My cohort and past cohorts are still struggling to get a career in ultrasound for this reason, we were all told that the school was accredited and of course they don't specify what accreditation they have because it will NOT benefit you as a student whatsoever. The program was a complete waste of time, I regret not waiting to get into Gurnick.

This program is a lot of self studying especially the online courses, they do not prepare you for the SPI exam or any ARDMS exams whatsoever. I had to beg a clinic in my town to take me as an extern because UMI couldn't place me themselves! I called every hospital in my city and in surrounding cities but once they were aware that I was a UMI student I was denied IMMEDIATELY, the school has a bad rep everywhere and what kind of program makes the students place themselves in externship sites, it's absolutely ridiculous. I could go on and on about how terrible this school is but that's just a fraction of what I've experienced, now I’m stuck with. 40,000 dollar loan and UNEMPLOYED so again PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM! Also if the program is ACCREDITED FAFSA will cover a lot of the tuition so it's literally cheaper to go to an accredited program, even if you get denied the first time APPLY AGAIN and WAIT! You'll thank yourself!
