Satisfactory customer service
While I didn't immediately understand what was going on, it turned out that my landline number was ported over from CenturyLink to this Granite Communications without my knowledge or consent. I never learned which company was responsible for this error, so I've limited my rating to four stars.
However, I did reach a Granite customer service representative in less than 5 minutes. This is way better than CenturyLink. The Granite rep seemed competent and was polite but couldn't resolve the problem. (In fairness, it turned out to be an unusual problem.) So she gave me the name/email address of my assigned "Premier" representative.
As I recall, the "Premier" rep responded to my email message in less than an hour. Again, way better than CenturyLink. He explained what happened and gave me instructions on how to port my telephone line back to CenturyLink.
In contrast to CenturyLink, I've already called them 3 times about this problem. It requires navigating through an exhausting phone tree with no ready options to speak to a human. It now appears that the first 2 reps gave me bad information. Supposedly, Rep #3 has made arrangement to port my number but won't know until next week.
Recommendation: I can't comment on Granite's technical expertise, but their customer service quickly solved my problem. It also appears that they're available 24-hours which again w/b another improvement over CenturyLink.
They didn't explain why they fired me
The rep from the company Granite Telecommunications hired me and promised a lot, but after 3 months they fired me without any explanations and they haven’t paid me for the last months. When I called them, I heard only blah-blah. Total rip off, so please be aware. The worst company ever, so avoid these ### and post comments about your experience with them. Help me to get money from these jerks.
