Residential Restoration Inc review: Commercial/residential contracting

Jim and David of Residential Restoration, inc a purported licensed and insured state contractor in Milwaukee, WI was hired to do some make ready and repair work at a commercial building we own in Milwaukee. Ranging from light bulb changes, door adjustment, repair toilet, caulking, painting etc. Jim and David assured us as did their website of their vast experience and abilities to execute the work timely. Upon written agreement they initially requested ALL labor funds paid up front which we advised would not be a prudent business decision as we are paying and providing all material costs, but after multiple calls and assurances agreed to provide a deposit of $1,000.00 via paypal and 1 draw and 1 final payment after work was completed and inspection. In addition in writing it was agreed too as well as via phone that they would provide daily updates of photos and reports on % of completion on work done so i could report to my management as well as tenant looking to open a new business in Milwaukee. Immediately after payment was made and cleared things Quite QUICKLY changed... the "LARGE" crew turned into one guy and the "extensive" organized "take off material list" soon never came, nor photo updates nor reports for % of completion... We received random written requests for specific materials which we ordered on our Home Depot account specifically for this job but upon material pick up David and Jim returned items paid for request a host of other materials to purchase and the materials paid for werent installed nor made it to the job site. That evening JIm and David after multiple calls and text follow ups sent a very limited number of photos "claiming" work was ALMOST all done and they would be done the next day with a LARGER crew and complete all today 1.11.24 and finish entire job at 1.12.24. We were happy to hear this report and again requested photos of which ones were sent were NOT of completed work... it showed work NOT done... Jim/David then claimed they needed MORE materials and asked if they could get at another store which we hesitantly accepted but in good faith moving forward again asked for work completed photos and written report on materials needed and what % of work was done on each task list. This morning early they text and stated they were on way to store... no store calls, no order was placed and when i got to the office they claimed i missed the call at 7am and due to that they needed another $2900.00 paid in now for them to return to the site to do the work... we again requested photos which were never received nor sent. We advised we would not pay this additional $2900.00 without proof of work... then jim and david started threatening us physically, my building and my business and threatened to destroy the building and the business and make false city complaints so the business couldnt open unless i paid them a specific amount of money "or elese" we advised them we wouldnt accept these threats and placed them on notice
