My family rented a Toyota hybrid from the Record Go car rental company at the Palma Malljora June 13th-June 19th 2022. The care was returned on June 19th prior to the deadline with a full tank and vacuumed. The following day June 20th, my son received an email stating the car had not been returned and would be charged another 500euros (in addition to 1400 euro deposit and 100 euros for the gas refill.
We drove an hour from the beach to the airport to resolve the issue, meeting with the manager who was investigating. She stated we probably gave the car to a "fake employee" and when questioned about cameras, the manager said there were none in the garage.
Three hours later, when we told her that we would file a police report, the car was "found". The manager was also incredibly rude and never said sorry to us for the incident.
