Like thousands of others in a slow market, I was sucked in by this lead system at the amount of $3950. I'm embarrassed to admit that but if it will keep someone from doing the same thing, I guess it's worth it. What really makes me speak up is that it is still going on. Now they want another $500 and another contractor on 11/12/08 (One Source IT Group) claiming they have been hired to "fix things" wants $149/month. I have never gotten a single lead, nor do I expect to. Good grief, surely they don't think we're this dumb! If One Source is a legitimate company, I can't believe they would want to get involved. SCAM!

I happen to know Jeff and Patsy Guthrie and hope to see them both brought to justice. I know for a fact they ran this scam in Arizona and in colorado and also scammed their own family members. Now they are hiding out in Kansas, have no real property in either of their names and live with a "friend". To the best of my knowledge Jeff is currently working a new scam in Kansas so if you see his name in anything business related run away.

/name removed/ has a heart of gold and a tireless work ethic...she was a pleasure to work with and worked relentlessly for the agents and the company. Why anyone would write these things of her I do not know. I worked with Tara just over 1 year, and of all people at the company she was the one who wanted to see the company succeed most...the only thing I fault her with is not leaving the company sooner...she just couldn't walk away and became attached to the agents-deseperatly wanting the company to succeed. Anyone who truly worked for REA would not say these things about her...first of all, she had nothing to do with the books. She was on the support and communications side of the company, not accounting. Nor did she work in operations, though I did see her agonize over delay's and lack of leadership. In the end the company failed because there was no competence or leadership at the helm. To lash out at the very people who worked day and night, far beyond what was expected of them, well that's just suspicious. You also posted as an ex-employee and an REexpert, again suspicious. AND to attack Tara, of all people at the company, well those of us who truly did work there know the truth, and I for one felt like she was one of the few people there who actually cared about the agents. She believed in the company, and she fought hard to make it work, but the buck doesn't stop with her...I will not point fingers in a blog- those at fault know who they are, but I could not read these lies about a young woman I have only the utmost respect for. I wish her nothing but the best in her life and hope I will be lucky enough to work with her again. Use your time more constructively than writing lies in an attempt to ruin someone's character. Perhaps you are feeling guilty and trying to place blame on others in order to take blame off of yourself?

I am a Former Reexpert and I wish I knew some of these things before. I KNEW Tara was telling us a bunch of crap! For months upon MONTHS she would hold us off with one fantastic lie after another. One broken promise after another. Then, when they had enough money, they cut and ran.
Shame on you /name removed/! We believed in you even after the company was losing credibility. You are a horror of a person and I hope the police through you UNDER the Jail. You lying ###! How could you? HOW COULD YOU! "

This is the post by the REEXPERT

Funny how both have the same initials. Did you forget to log out and log back in under your other name? Funny how little things like that can trip you up. You have to know what your doing if your going to try to cause trouble. Very childish of you TS. Yes, we all know who you are. You got BOTH PUNKED and PIMPED

Instead of attacking the only two people who TRIED to make the company work, try attacking the $130, 000 club that took money for doing NOTHING. Why aren't you attacking Jeff Guthrie, Joe Lavelle, Grant Mendralla, and Susan Lawrence. They all took over $10, 000 each a month. Attack the ones that DID NOT have to fight for a paycheck but were GIVEN checks anytime they asked for it, for any reason, (windows for a new house comes to mind). Yes, Jeff Guthrie was very generous with HIS money, but only to those that were on their knees, or cried like the little [censor]s they are.

As for the realtors that Jeff and his "boys" scammed? Lets start putting the main blame where it belongs. WITH YOURSELVES. Did you read the contract? The part where it says the company WAS A RISK? IF you spent your last 3, 4, 5k on something that wasn't proven then shame on you for being greedy. Do what REAL REALTORS do, WORK for what you have. Stop trying to take the easy way out. Take a lesson from Jeff Guthrie. If it sounds to good to be true, IT IS.

I worked at REEXPERT or The Real Estate Advocate for approximately five months. I found the working atmosphere there to be a good one. People were nice and helpful but the pace was very quick and I liked that.
I told my husband from the very beginning that if this company went down the tubes it would be due to two persons; Leanne Hodgson, and /name removed/, sure enough I was right. Sadly.
/name removed/ cooked those books and lied so badly to people about all of the things they were going to get that it was a running joke inside the company that after the customers bought, us employees were going to buy again too because what Tara was pitching was so much better than we were actually offering.
Leanne Hodgson...Now here is a 'Jabba the Hut" look a like if ever I saw one. Her work station over flowed with food, snacks, candies, etc..To open a drawer, enough food to feed a small concession fell on the floor...anyway..She was a horrible Liar, like Tara but she was assigned to bring investors into the company. Those big fish. She would lie, and eat. Lie and eat, all day. It was disgusting..
It's very plain to me that /name removed/ and Leanne Hodgson were the blame for the collapes of the company. No one could live up to all those false expectations. It' was crap and it was criminal.
Now the company is closed and /name removed/ is riding around town in a luxury automobile, taking vacations every month on your money. Leanne is just as big as a house...

The Real Estate Advocate, REexpert LLC was nothing but a scam from the beginning. It originated as a scam and has produced NOTHING by way of a palatable product since it's inception. The only thing proping up it's reputation, as little as it currently has, is that people don't want to truly feel as stupid as they would have to, to accept what a absolute total ripoff this was, and to accept how truly gullible they would have to be in getting involved in this crap.
The company collected MILLIONS of dollars, folded the game up when accountability was demanded and laughed all the way to the bank. Their investors were ripped off, Brokers and agents were ripped off, employees ripped off and not paid.
The company is gone now. Offices vacated, employees scattered to the wind. What once could have been, never was because it was frought with fraud and deceit; mirrors and promises and left all of you fools holding the bag. I was one of those fools too.
Now good ol boy Jeff and patsy are off running their next scam. You...Oh yeah, you still don't have your money and will never get it back.
A la the television show "Punked", you got PIMPED. The sad thing is none of you made this fool accountable for stealing millions of your dollars. You just let him walk away...
Don't take the whole of the experience as a learning tool. People this stupid (I'm talking about you) will constantly lose their money to predators like this.
Real people would have stood up and fought. Now that the economy is tanking, bet you could really use that money now, huh?

I agreed to the sound good.. talk good approach.

It's unfortunate...
However, I wasn't financially abale to perform the second payment and requested a refund...

& Got it... it took some time to get the refund.. but they did send it...

I sent a slew of referrals.. thinking they would pay me $500 per sign on and then I could get a credit of what I owed.. They said that I had to be fully on board in order to get the credit and then it would be credited to me from closings...

I don't know enough to say they were bad, good or just trying to make a buck.

They did what I asked and were pleasent to deal with.
