On 5 January 2022, I went for my 10th braces appointment for with Dr Zachary. Apart from usual adjustment, he did cleaning and applied floride on my teeth within 10 minutes.

I did not request for any cleaning service as I plan to do it right before my wedding in May 2022 (p.s. all the staff in the dental clinic is aware of my wedding arrangement since Day 1). Upon payment, I was charged for the above ‘extra' services that I did not asked for. The relief receptionist alleged that the previous receptionist had booked it under my appointment. I am absolutely dismay at the unpleasant surprise and was forced to pay for something I did not asked for. I would pay for service that I want, not for service that was done without prior notice.

Moreover, the entire cleaning process was done within 10 minutes. It would not be as disappointing if Dr Zachary had taken more time to do a thorough cleaning.

The agony is that I cannot change dentist as braces is a full treatment (1-2years). Would have to fork out $5k if I were to change at this point in time.
