We run a Football League in Philadelphia for Men 18 & over. We decided to purchase (2) Port-A-Fields from CS Platinum in August of 2012 to help line our fields with ease and accuracy. This was also basically promised to take about 10 minutes to set up. The product arrived about a week to 10 days after we ordered it and about that following weekend my husband and I went to a local field to layout one of the the portable fields.

Unfortunately my husband and I were not able to lay this product out with ease at all and the equipment they provided were not going into the dirt tight enough to stop the tripping factor from occurring. Needless to say we tried every which way to make the product work for us because in return it would have made our lives so much easier running this league. No matter how we installed it (Per the U-Tube Video) we could not get the widgets to stay in the ground which again would have caused a serious tripping hazard.

The cost of these fields were $562 and we returned them for at least 1/2 of a refund since we only opened one package and although we placed the field back into the same order it was sent we assumed they would not re-reimburse us any cost of that one but figured it would be worth the try since CS Platinum Sports representative “Susan” stated as long as it was in good new condition she couldn’t see a problem with any refunds.

Mind you the second filed was NEVER OPENED and we expected a FULL Refund for that one. We followed the return policy and sent the shipment via priority mail with Tracking (cost of $40) so I would know when the package arrived at their TX location. Once all was said and done we heard nothing from this company other than the tracking information provided by USPS I would have never known they even received our package.

Once we spoke with them they told us that they didnt “LIKE OUR REASON” for returning it and that they were upset that our Credit Card Company charged them $25 fee to investigate the situation. Now we no longer have the portable fields nor our $562 since they will not reimburse us anything.

I would like the public to know that this company has unfair return policy practices and if your not 100% sure this product is for your organization DO NOT PURCHASE A PORT-A-FIELD. Had we known that they would keep our Money and the product we would have donated them to a Youth Organization we are involved with and at least get some satisfaction our of our $562.00 investment we no longer have. Our Credit Card Company is investigating their practices and hopefully they will see what they do to their customers who buy and simply want to return it as apparently this is NOT ALLOWED no matter what their site says.

I personally found Port-a-Field to be just the opposite for our flag football and soccer fields. I purchased both a flag football and soccer field to use as a practice field for my son's teams and they work great. Perhaps the ground type you're trying to anchor into is very loose causing the issue but our anchors stay in place to keep tight lines for both field types. I personally enjoy the product and I've recommended it to many friends who also find it to work well. We like to bring the soccer field to the beach with us to initiate games and the people that randomly come up to play are very impressed with it.
