Platinum misleads their prospective employees by lying about how much they pay. Their ads state they pay between $20-25/hour, but in reality, they only pay their employees $50/day *or* $50/call (not both). The amount of work is also so abysmal that they encourage all their employees to keep a second job in order to make ends meet; you cannot survive with just that job alone.
They also decided to terminate my employment for simply trying to find a second job related to the industry they're in. They did this, not by altruistic means, but by unethical means of conniving with the second company I applied for, who themselves are even more unethical than Platinum, and is a company I ended up reporting here on BBB some time ago. The only reason I applied for them almost a decade later is because I thought they would have changed, and because my employment with Platinum was under threat after they revoked my van access due solely to their insurance policy (not on me). I put so much time, money & effort into trying to do well for them, only for all of it to be blatantly ignored & for them to toss me away like useless trash...
Both of these companies are highly unethical & they should no longer exist the way that they currently are. In essence: Platinum in particular misleads prospective employees with false pay, and when one doesn't have a long enough personal vehicle insurance history, they revoke one's driving privilege, then terminate employment when one tries to seek secondary employment, of which they actually encourage due to the sheer lack of work & pay therein.
Country of complaint: Canada
Desired outcome: Financial compensation for unethically terminating my employment without even giving me a written/verbal warning, as well as start being honest about what they actually pay & how much work they actually have, & being more ethical over-all.
