The January 2007 purchase contract for my home was contingent upon it passing inspection. After Mid-Atlantic found problems with the flat roof, DiBello installed a new one that came with a 10-year warranty that transferred to me. A small leak developed, which they said wasn't due to the roof. I paid a significant amount of money to replace the metal that wraps around the exterior brick wall. In late August and early September 2011, the flat roof failed, leaking water into the master bedroom, which lies directly under the flat roof. Although the 4.5 year old roof remained under warranty, DiBello said it was fine. They said the problem was a gutter that I had asked them to fix since 2007 and that they refused to fix. A number of other roofers and the insurance adjuster said the roof was defective. In addition to DiBello refusing to honor their warranty, Phil Moskowitz was rude and accused me of lying. Moskowitz blamed me, saying that it was up to me to let them know other roofers and the insurance adjuster said DiBello's work was defective. I did, via certified letter. Moskowitz denied the existence of the certified letter; I have evidence from the U.S. Postal Service that it was delivered. Because DiBello refused to stand behind their 10-year warranty, which is unprofessional, I paid another roofer to install a new roof.
