I took my car to Parow Coachworks for a repair on my doors and a scratch on my bumper. They informed me that the repair would take one week. When we arrived to collect the vehicle it was parked outside and was extremely dirty, they drove the car into the workshop where they continued to wipe the dirt off and do some touch ups, at this point I was already unhappy as I was told the car was ready for collection.
Upon inspection of the car we immediately noticed the moulding was horribly fitted due to thick double sided tape, this brought about an argument with James who argued & insulted my friend to an extreme and unacceptable level. James who I assume is the manager of the business was unable to handle the situation.
They continued to remove the mould and use the correct double sided tape. I was happy until I saw the dent they had made where they had worked. They asked me to leave the car there and collect the next morning, I agreed.
The next day I called them at approximately 4pm giving them the entire day to sort out the dent. I spoke to the owner Nigel Luyt who argued with me because I was unhappy waiting yet another day for my vehicle as they were unable get the dent technician to fix the dent.
Nigel Luyt told me I could pay now and take my car and he will send the technician to my place of employment, I agreed as I was struggling without my car. As I left a friend tried to open the window and my electric window operator sinked in and broke. This is where Parow Coachworks was working. When I got home I noticed my mud flap was hanging from one nut as well, I had to remove it to prevent losing it while driving.
3 days later and I have still heard nothing about the dent technician coming out to fix the dent caused by Parow Coachworks. I called Nigel Luyt and his excuse was that he “forgot”. Nigel Luyt said he would send the technician to my home the next day.
After all my frustrations I had enough and informed them that I will be forwarding the case to the attorneys should they fail to fix their mess, Nigel Luyt’s response was, and I quote “I think it is better for you to phone your attorneys.
For I am calling off the guy to remove your dent at your house tomorrow morning Im willing to remove the dent but the vehicle will have to be dropped at parow coachworks After which an appointment will be made with excellent dents to come & remove the very small dent (only visible from a certain angle) I also think your attitude is not justified as from day one you treated with the atmost respect.”.
After everything I have been through with Parow Coachworks they still believe that I was treated with the utmost respect.
I have never in my entire existence been as disappointed in a company and their attitudes towards their clients and towards their work.
