travel club scam it does not work like they say it does. travel packages they show in their presentation are the same price as online .com, they say you can save 40-60% off that a lie you can not. All it is, is a time share use program, thats it. It is not worth the $ 4-5000k they charge for the membership. do not waste ur time, stay home with ur family. O and the free trips they offer to come in r a joke big time scam.

How can I located someone from PWV? I need to find that Ron guy. I wished I never got involved with this company. Never again I get hooked into a scam like this again. I called Vacations 2 Paradise in San Diego are they associated with Paradise in SF? Scam scam scam!

I worked for this company. THEY ARE A SCAM, they never paid their employees on time. and treated us badly. DO NOT ATTEND A PRESENTATION HERE or Portfolio to Paradise in San Diego. Anything to do with Ron Morf is a scam.

As most of you heard or know that PWV was a scam. I don't know what they offer you after the 90 presentation but I can say as of Jan 2013, Paradise World Vacation Club is closed. Yes their shut down! I was wondering for those who paid into the vacation package do they get a refund or did they lose thousand of dollars. Not sure when it actually closed their doors but I stop by there to view it and it was dark their name is off the building. WOW! That was fast.

I got the mail invitation for round trip air and 3 nights in Cabo San Lucas and figure I have nothing to lose but 90mins of my time. I specifically asked the guy on the phone if I have to pay for any other fees besides airport taxes and he said no. I also asked him about blackout dates and he said we can travel pretty much anytime. Reading this post now it confirmed my suspicion about their scam. I will call them up to cancel my appointment on Sunday at 3pm. If they don't answer the phone, I just don't show up.

Risingleo ... We didn't have to pay anything ... Ours was an invitation come-on we got in the mail. It may be helpful to detail why you had to pay the $20 for the benefit of others.

Jomeo David, Thanks so much! My wife and I were going tomorrow to the presentation. We know about all the time share scams but we still go to the presentations to get "discounted" vacations. When I read your entry about how the vacation is not really what they say it is, we decided not to go. You may have wasted a lot of your time but you really have helped a lot of other people! Thanks again... Mikey P.

Thank you Jomeo David for your time to write your comment. You saved me a lot of time and grief. I have a 3 pm appointment with these bozos today but I'm canceling immediately. Many thanks for saving me the time and frustration and anger for being lied to.

When I called them to cancel, they gave me the same canned excuses as mentioned in the link I posted above. Read the article and don't waste your time!

I believe the main company that these people are affiliated with is Gold Crown Resorts based in FL. THey are not a member of BBB, although the small companies like Paradise Vacations, Shell Vacations say they are. SCAM 100%. Dont waste your time and money. Major Joke of a company!

We received a mail offer to attend a presentation for a free 8 day/7 night Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) cruise (except Hawaii or Alaska) and airfare for two (continental U.S. only) from Paradise Vacations who now appears to operate from the location of Shell Vacation Club. The Yelp reviews for Shell Vacation Club were very poor ... Did they change their name to Paradise? According to their rep, you are given certificates for the cruise and the airlines and you will book your travel directly with NCL or the airline. We were assured that we do not have to book through a travel service. In the past, we wasted our time trying to book the supposed 'free' gifts with the restriction as noted by Mr. David above. If we decide to participate, I will post again here and in Yelp of our experience.

THIS IS GOING TO BE DETAILED AND LENGTHY, BUT I PROMISED THIS COMPANY THAT IF THEY F@#% WITH ME, I F@#% WITH THEM =0

Scenario: Me and my gal enjoying the food and sun on a Saturday afternoon during the 2012 Art & Wine Festival in Millbrae. A booth with a big banner “WIN A FREE HAWAII TRIP”. Hey, why not check it out. Ok…. Fill out a card, drop it in the box and we might win.

Guy on the booth asks “Are you guys living together?”
We say “Yes”
Guy on the booth says “Well then are you interested in a 90 min presentation? You will get a 4 days, 3 nights 2 round trip air fare to Honolulu!”
We say “No thanks, this is a scam!”
Guy on the booth “I kid you not gee golly! What about throwing in a free $300 Restaurant Gift Card on top of that FREE trip?”
We say “Ok. Now this seems worth it! Sign us up!”
So we end up signing up! How naïve we are. The catch? That we need to give them $20 (SCAM ALERT) for them to hold a seat and make sure that we show up. Ok sure lets be stupid. We scheduled to come in the next day at around 3 pm. Before I left, I told the guy with a smile “This better not be scam because you’ll still be here tomorrow and I know where to find you…” I should have known that I was done for when I saw the fear in the guy’s eyes himself knowing that this company is full of baloney.
The place was on 2770 Taylor St downtown. We left the peninsula 2:00 but because of horrible traffic, we got to the office at 3:30. (Keep in mind, that we tried calling all Saturday and early Sunday the number that the booth guy gave for rescheduling and no one ever picked up (SCAM ALERT).
We met a couple of old balls near the elevator claiming to be the owners (wow 2 bosses) telling us that the presentation was over because no one showed up and that we were late. I told him to give us back our $20 and we’ll be on our way. He said no! I went upstairs and started complaining to all the staff member telling them that the phone number was faulty (they said they don’t know what number that was…. They tell your field reps to take it off the dang pamphlet reception girl!) I told them I want my money back. I told them I had a business where they had the booth and that if they didn’t give me my money back, I would let everyone know next year of their shady business. One of the “boss” tried giving me $20 when a sales person told him not to and that we should come back next week. I ask the other boss, if their company is even a member of the BBB. He said yes (SCAM ALERT). Ok sure. I said I wasted my gas so why don’t you just give me my money back and wellbe gone. They said, well give you a $100 gas card and you can come back next week (sound too good to be true? Of course!) Ok sure see you next week.
I shook off the anger and frustration this business has given me for the day. I came home and read up on Royal Crown Resort and/or Paradise Vacation Club. First of all, they are not a member of the BBB even when they say they are (Go ahead and look it up guys). There is no review of them on Yelp (I think the company pays off yelp to not post any reviews for them). But I did read many many many reviews from brave souls who were naïve like us who took the time to expose these F@#%ers. How their so called free gifts are jokes and that they are NOT FREE.
So knowing that we are done for and still needed to get our $20 back, we had to go through this presentation and waste our Sunday afternoon once again.
The following Sunday, we were there 30 mins early only to be informed that they were going to start 30 mins later. Ok, so I got all the BS last week of being 30 mins late and now you guys are starting 30 mins late? Ok fine lets do this. We were taken into a big conference room with floor to ceiling windows with the view of the whole fisherman’s wharf. Then we had a meet and greet with an associate who asked us questions. Then we were called in to this small room with a flat screen TV and a map of the world showing us all the destinations that this membership can offer you to travel for cheap.
PRESENTATION: The guy was entertaining. He was funny; he asked tantalizing questions that made it an interactive presentation. He went fast and showed some slides. He made jokes and told family stories to butter us up about him being a family man and that this membership is an absolute need for us as couples. He said, the first two couples that joined will have their annual dues waived for life and he was gone. And the opportunity to ask questions at the end? Forget about it! He bolted out of there faster than San Diego Chargers running back. (why wouldn’t he give time to answer in front of the whole group? So they wouldn’t be called out as being shady if asked a great question)
MEMBERSHIP OFFER: We broke up again to the associate we met prior to the presentation. He asked us how we liked it and we said it was cool but we would pass on the membership. He then called another guy who had all the skills of buttering you up to joining the program. We said no to the $8995.00 membership. He said what about $2995? We said no again. He said take some time to think about it. Ok. As we waited, we saw a couple bringing out 3 credit card to put the $10000 they just spent on a membership (ouch!) He came back extended his hand and said so welcome to the program? I was like no. Deng dude give it up. So we got out of that one, got the papers certificates for the $300 restaurant card, $100 gas card, and the 4 days 3 nights w/ air fare trip, and we were gone.
BOTTOM LINE FINE PRINT:
$300 RESTAURANT CARD: Nonrefundable $29.95 processing fee. Following strict guidelines to obtain $25 gift cards/month for 12 month
$100 GAS CARD                              : Nonrefundable $27.95 processing fee. Following strict guidelines to obtain a $20/month for 5 months
4 DAYS/3NIGHTS with ROUND TRIP AIR TICKETS FOR 2: Refundable $100 deposit to Smart Travel and Incentives; $75-150 per person Surcharges for taxes; $99 per person reservation surcharge; $100 per person for airline and hotel tax. YOU HAVE TO REQUEST YOUR PREFERRED TRAVEL DATE and you will know if you are approved 15-21 days prior (Talk about near last minute!) Airports are limited to fly from (Unlike the liar at the arts and wine festival who said we can fly from SFO.
MEMBERSHIP BOTTOM LINE: You will have access to a BS website and the travels and offers are not as they say it is. Good luck if you want to be stupid and attend this junk.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING GUYS AND BE WARNED. DON’T BE STUPID CAUSE I WAS STUPID FOR YOU. I TOOK THE GRENADE FOR YOU AND I WASTED A LOT OF TIME WRITING THIS REVIEW AND ATTENDING SOME BS PRESENTATION. CHECK OUT THE DOCUMENTS I POSTED HERE TOO (YOUR WELCOME!)
F$^& THESE GUYS AND HAPPY YELPING GUYS!
