11/9/2023 They contacted me from an inquiry on Angi.com. they were the first company to reach out to me. At first they were very professional and engaging.
Prior to signing, I was sent to Shannon at customer service. When I hesitated to sign, she said I had a 72-hour cancelation clause. Because she said that I went ahead and signed. The moving estimate was $2737.
On Saturday 11/9, Jason with the moving side of the company started calling me that morning to determine how many boxes I had - by size. When I received the new estimate, it had increased to $4815. I told him to cancel the contract. I was informed I could not cancel the contract because it was not inside the 72-hour cancellation period - except it was - the contract was first signed on 11/09 at 9:11 am and cancelled by 11/12 at 2:37 am which is within the 72 hours.
After our experience with them, we researched them on the BBB - they have 67 negative reviews.
Claimed loss: Pack Man USA is stating that we did not cancel within the 72 hours and are trying to collect a $959 deposit.
Desired outcome: We did not use their services so no monies owed.
