BUYER BEWARE! I am an ex-client. THIS IS A WARNING before you bow $300! First, do the math: there are over 30 You Tube videos on this same business! One boosts over 28, 000 hits and the website boosts over 3 million hits. I guess the owner, "Paashion" forgot to read her reviews which are not quite hundreds. When the negative complaints become too many suddenly all complaints are gone. We are in Atlanta one of the Black hair capitals of the whole USA! Home of the Bonner Brothers and off the chain hairshows!. If this service was what it boosts you would not have to go to her website to first hear about it. Her one salon here (the other closed down would be packed. When I went there, there were no clients waiting on a Saturday!. If anyone's experience were like mine, it's understandable.
CUSTOMER SERVICE was horrible. She get all your information (type of hair, coloretc over the phone) supposedly so you can cut decision making time at the salon. Except she did not heave the color I told her one day in advance I wanted. Passhion was demeaning and military in her approach. I wore a wig to show her exactly how I wanted my hair cut. It was a simple long with layers on the front sides and long Beyonnce bangs. She said the wig was a mess and she could no idea from it. I had to pick from one of her magazine photos.
THE TECHNIQUE the only only good thing. Instead of braiding or gluing she twist the hair and holds all in using the same thread. She kept trying to get me to keep me reading a magazine I guess so I would not figure out what she was doing. She was so nasty, of course, I paid closer attention to her work. She sells a video of the technique on one of websites. Get that and take it to your stylist. Twisting is healthier than braiding because of less stress on your hair and of course way faster to do.
THE HAIR is laid across the top of a piece of furniture without labels so you really don't know what you're getting in quality or brand. She just has you pick the color you want. My auburn was not there so I opted for a brown for hightlights mixed with 1B. When I went to as many salons as I could to post warning of the quality and some to try to get the weave fixed they consistantly told me it was mixed quality posibly some synthetic and warned me not to apply heat to it.
THE FINISH was OMG the worst hot mess!. There was a "round" hole at the top where you could see my scalp. The bangs where cut straight across and above my eyebrow like she put a bowl on my head and cut across. Her version of layering the dront was to have me stand and bent from the waist while she tookan electric razor and went zip up one side and zip up the other side...layered! There is no hand mirror so things like te top of my head was a surprise when other stylist showed me.
THE COST: I went back to ask Passhion to fix it and she supposed left the salon after me . And after 2 hours I could only get her by phone where she refused to fix it. No wonder she only wants cash. A business of any quality in Atlanta takes a credit card. Gee, even McDonalds takes a major credit card! She did not say that in her web site or ad and she sends you up the street to an ATM before she starts anything. $300 down the hopper. Plus the $45 I finally found someone who would fix the top after 3 days of searching walking into salons. No stylist wanted their name connected to the hot mess.
THE AFTERMATH: Of course I posted a complaint on her You Tube site which was promply removed by her at the sacrifice of all the other comments. (No wonder over 30 videos on youtube). I had go back to the stylist who fixed it to have it removed. (part of the deal to fix it). She washes and re-used quality weave hair. It all had to be thrown out. I was the office guinea pig since we found the One Hour Weeave website together and excited to try it. I was thanked over and over for saving them money. And I was a showcase and made fun of for wearing the mess. A bad weave job is a hugh walking "lol" behind your back and assumption you tried doing it yourself . I wore as a buyer beware for the sistas (and the fact it cost me over $300!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
