The company was represented to me by one of the investing partners as a way for my husband and I to invest. After researching and reveiwing the Recomplletion Project report and checking to confirm it was an operating comapny, we gave money to the representative, Daniel Gleichowski, to invest in this company. We questioned why we received no verification that the funds were invested in R&D only to be told he (Daniel) had that covered. After two checks on returns from the investment delivered from Daniel's personal checking account and not Newport Oil account, we began to question Daniel on as to why they weren't coming in our names. Now after some "side stepping" from Daniel and calling Newport Oil - we find out Daniel used our money, with acceptance of the owner of Newport (from what Daniel said), to pay his personal bills and personal income tax obligations. We have contacted Daniel to return all our money and he's telling us that he can't because it's all gone. Our money was used to pay ahead on his personal residence and personal expenses without even letting us know.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This complaint appears to be a personal matter, a misunderstanding and/or miscommunication between the author and Dan Gleichowski. I don't like to see anonymous complaints that have no factual basis put on the internet for the world to see. If I were Dan Gleichowski, I would consider filing suit against such an author for defamation of character. I also believe this post should be removed, as it states there is no factual basis to support such claims by the author.

Newport Oil has been made aware of the "duped by the Gleichowski's" complaint and wishes to respond.
Newport Oil is an exploration and production company headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. Dan Gleichowski is a working interest owner in several oil and gas wells operated by Newport. Dan's working interest can be traded or sold just like any other property. However, Newport had no knowledge and was not involved in the above purported transaction.
For the author to support their claim of a Newport involvement, they would need to provide a copy of their check made payable to Newport Oil as well as paperwork from Newport covering the transaction. Neither a check nor any paperwork exists.
Dan Gleichowski does not represent, nor is he affiliated, with Newport. This complaint appears to be a personal matter between the author and Dan Gleichowski.
