A few weeks ago I filed a complaint with the Complaints Board but for some reason it never went up onto their website. Therefore, this is new and I very much hope the management of the Complaints Board will action this ASAP.
As I wrote before, I have been dealing with Myron since January last. He contacted me via Facebook and Messenger. I thought he was legitimate and agreed to have him work as part of my marketing team with Storylines Entertainment Ltd.
Initially, we verbally agreed to write a contract between the two companies – Storylines and Screenworks – to promote a variety of books that we’re publishing, focusing on two: Dolphin Song, a romantic fantasy, and Always Come Home, a psychological thriller. We further agreed to develop a written contract, signed by both parties, for a variety of actionable marketing items including emails to thousands of decision makers in the publishing and film industries (which he did on a limited basis – only a few outbound emails rather than thousands), appearances on Global Video and audio online channels (Myron organised three of these. For those, he was paid handsomely. The resulting video and audio interviews with me, the author of the above books, were professionally done. When Myron puts his mind to it, the results can be perfect – unfortunately, he seems to rarely put his mind to anything). He had promised additional interviews but they never transpired.
For months, Myron promised to get a screenplay adaption of Dolphin Song the novel to many people including Ron Howard, Bill Cosby’s production company, James Earl Jones (to voice over a cinematic video) and get me on the Oprah Winfrey Book Show to talk about Dolphin Song and Always Come Home. He told me the above personalities were personal friends, so would have no problem going directly to them. As it turns out, they were not personal friends. To contact them, he had to go through entertainment lawyers, costing me thousands of dollars in new budgets which I had never agreed to and never will. Myron also wanted to film a TV Pilot of Always Come Home, again costing thousand of dollars, much more than I would pay if I organised my own pilot and produced it.
For months and months, we’ve been trying to negotiate. I have NEVER signed a contract with Myron for obvious reasons: he never came through on time or on budget. While I agreed to pay him some line items for work he did complete successfully, I WILL NOT PAY HIM ONE PENNY MORE.
Here’s what I paid him and what he finally did:
1. ML Ruscsak with Tom Richards $2000 – Myron completed this successfully
2. Vivian L Sharp Interview with To Richards 6-05-22 ($500) 2:30 pm EST 30 minutes – Myron completed this successfully
3. B-Fly Facebook Live Interview with Tom Richards 6-09-22 7 pm EST ($1500) 30 minutes – Myron completed this successfully
4. First 25 pages of Script written by Tom Richards sent to Ron Howard $3500. A photo copy of the U.S. Postage Receipt will be sent by email on 06-17-22 – Myron has never done this and so I have not paid him
5. Advertisement in Scene Magazine Cleveland Ohio of Always Come Home A weekly Magazine Online and copies ($380) on 7-10-22 – Myron never did this and I did not pay him.
In total my company has paid Myron Grace and his company: $9,510.00
Yet he has only carried out work valued at: $5650.00
Therefore, Myron’s company owes me: $3860.00
I have NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH MYRON. I would have been silly to do so. Myron never carries out what he promises. He constantly overpromises and under-delivers.
What’s more, Myron is sending out inflammatory, libellous and incorrect emails to literally hundreds of companies and individuals in the film and tv arena, many of whom I do not know, some of which I do. I have a list of those individuals who have received the following email. NOTE THAT I AM NOT A FRAUD. I am only a managing director Storylines Entertainment Ltd and a writer. I ALWAYS come through on what I promise my clients and customers. If I screw up I bend over backwards to make certain that all problems are resolved.
I have worked with many, many authors, producers, directors and other professionals who would testify to my character if I had to prove my bone fides. Myron, on the other hand, seems to have few people who would testify for him.
It is with extreme reservations, and to my cost, that I must say that I agree with all people who state that Myron is a fraud and a thief. He owes me money, has personally attached my character on WhatsApp and by text, has written to the United States Embassador to Ireland stating that I am a fraud, and has threatened my relationship with my partner, Carmel. These are unforgivable actions. Like many, I hope that Myron is tried in court, heavily fined, and put in jail.
However, I leave it to other people to find out about Myron Grace and make up their minds about his character.
Desired outcome: The return of the money Myron owes: $3,860, PLUS an amount to be determined for libel. See email above. He has also caused me a recent Heart Attack that I had due to the stress he put me under.
I had filed this complaint a number of weeks ago but for some reason it was not processed online on your website. Therefore, because it's a serious situation, and Myron Grace is continuing to send emails out to hundreds of people besmirching my good name, I file it again. I very much hope you can look at this ASAP to help not only me but many other companies and artists who, I suspect, will be defrauded by him.
