We replied to his Kijiji add for building deck, he came over, did an estimate for us and our neighbors, we both agreed to the price, he asked us for a 50% deposit which we gave him, he was suppose to have the material delivered on the saturday June 10th and then on the monday June 12th. he started the job on the 12th of june with a promise of a 7 day job each. We never received the material as he bought it as he want along.
We are now August 12th 2 months later and the job is still not finish. He stopped coming to our house and did not reply to our messages. After 2 weeks of not having any News. He finaly replied and came over, with appologies and he said that he was a man of his Word and that his partner let him down and that it was going to take a bite more time being that he is alone. We unfortunatly beleived him and still did not finish.
For safety being that we have a pool, We had to install the railing of the deck and redo the entire staircase as they where uneven and not to scale.
We wanted to have a particular galery and he told us it was no problem for him. I now need to hire a real charpenter to have it done. Extra cost and time.
This job should have been finished by June 20th, we spent the whole summer waiting and hoping for him to come finish. We paid for a Job that was not done.
Here is my complaint.
We hired Francis Charron to do work for us. He never did any work, and no longer answers his phone or his email. He stole our money. Anyone who would like to join us in bringing this person in front of a judge, please contact me, . There is a court date for him in L'Orignal, Ontario on October 23. Suggest filing on line complaint with this court. The more people who file, the more likely he will be charged. Do not accept any [promise to repay (i.e. series of payments). If you accept any money back, it no longer is fraud. He needs to be brought to justice.
Also, any work that he attempts to do, start, or leave partially finished and skip out, is absolutely awfully done. He is a dope and does not even know how to do basic construction work . Maybe he knows how to mow a lawn, but that is about all. He has no idea of what he is doing. He brings his children with him. His son is over 18 and is considered an accomplice. Liar, fraud, a slug in society. Attached is a photo of his truck and his fat ugly face.
