McElroy Metal, Inc. review: McElroy Metal, Inc. sold unusable material to me

I purchased a metal roofing package for my home from Mcelroy Metal Inc. The roof was fairly complicated to assemble, but it was basically a good roof. On the other hand, the downspouts and elbows which were part of the package were (and are) completely unusable. There was no way to assemble the parts because no part of it was tapered to fit into anything else. The elbows have holes which would obviously cause serious leakage if it actually WERE possible to assemble them. The salesman from Mcelroy Metal stopped returning calls when I informed him of the problems and a lady named Cindy in their customer service department promised that they would call me back regarding the issue after I complained about their salesman and their products. I waited a pretty long time, but nobody from Mcelroy Metals ever contacted me again. I called again recently and was told they would call me back again ... but the lady said maybe they can not do anything now because it has been too long. Apparently I have been too patient so NOW they feel they do not need to be responsible for their products. What can I say? I still do not want to sue them. It was about 500 bucks out of my pocket, but what the heck? It was not enough money for me to seriously consider spending time in some small claims court ... but it certainly is a big enough insult that I do feel motivated to tell people about it. If anyone doubts my word about this, I still have a letter from my roofing contractor which accurately describes the problems with Mcelroys products ... and I have the pile of material if you would like to see if you can assemble any of it.
