This company pays min wage to start and if you ever think that you will ever make more than that you have another thing coming. They do not aprreciate the hard workers that they do have. When you work here you have no rights durning work hours. They take that all away. The benafits are bad, managment (which I may add are all woman) have power trips and spend all day gossiping.) This company has discriminated against all worker behind their back. What would the main company think if they were flies on the wall. I will tell you, they would realize that this company is no different than companies that hire children an pay them 5 cents and hour to work all day. Is this a company you want to work for? I think it needs to be closed down!

One more factor is where you live. The whole reason why manufacturing companies like M-C Industries are located in
the southern midwest and south is because minimum wage in those areas is considered somewhat 'normal' by locals.
If you want to advance yourself sometimes you have to consider a move to another area, or commuting farther
into work zones that have higher-cost housing that you can avoid by commuting. Wages will be generally higher there.
MOST IIMPORTANTLY: DONT just look in the newspapers for a new job. That is NOT where the 'good' jobs are advertised.
If a company has frequent ads in local newspapers, that is the tip-off that they have a revolving-door for employees
and are not the best work environments. THE BEST JOBS ARE NOT ADVERTISED. Try a temp agency instead.

Many companies like to hire someone for permanent work by 'test-driving' the employee first through an agency.
That in itself is a sign that the company wants quality employees, just just warm bodies.
A company with quality employees = a better run companyand probably a better work environment and better pay.

Although being grateful for what you have is an attractive trait, it is also something that is preyed upon by some companies (like M-C) that are
too inefficient at the top to be able to pay decent wages at the bottom.
In my experience, staying at a job that is low-paying is folly in today's economics. Very rarey do companies promote people from within.
They'd rather avoid the internal politics of advancement by simply hiring someone new from the outside instead.
If your waiting for a promotion, forget it. I have always advanced myself by changing companies. There are HUGE differences
in work environments (and pay) between companies that are well-run and companies that are not well-run.

so your complaint is you were being paid minimum wage like millions of other americans to do a job when the unemployment rate in this country is over 10%.

Well I have the perfect solution. QUIT and let someone who will be thankful to just have a job have yours.

Someone gave me some good advice one time and maybe you need to hear it. You will never get the big things in life, if you are not grateful for the little things.
Your life could be so much worse. How sad is it that having a job is your big COMPLAINT.
