In May of 2009, we hired Mark Boxberger to build a storage shed / shop building for us because his bid was the most resonable one we had. After a short time he advised us that it was taking him longer than intisapated to do the job. At this point the floor, framing, outside sideing and roof had been completed. We agreed at that time we would do the rest of the inside work that needed to be done. Instead of comp roofing material, metal was used for the roof. We also had the contractor put in 2 large patio glass section in the roof to act as a sky light and provide more heat from the sun. The contractor, Mark, knew and agreed to do this befor building the shed / shop building. After the summer ended and the rain started we found that we had leaks. The contractor did return to put spray foam in areas he thought might be causing the leak. It did stop the leak temporairly, then we discovered another leak aprox a foot from the first one, also on the other side of the roof another leak was discovered. We have had contact with the contractor and he says he'll see what he can do when asked if he can come out to fix the leaks. Well it has been a year and we still have leaks, our last contact with the builder / contractor was yesterday May 26, 2010. He again said he would see what he could do when asked to come over to see about fixing the leak.
We are very disappointed that his situation has not been rectified because of possible damage to the building and contents caused by the rain that we can't see.

We also had this same contractor put a new patio roof on our patio and we have numerous leaks in the patio roof also, Unfortunatly we did not knw of the leaks until after ther rain startede or we wouldn't have had this builder do our shed/ shop building. We have also contacted him several times regarding the patio roof to no avail. I am not able to get on the roof of the shop building or the patio due to a condition called vertigo.

You may have recourse through the Construction contractors building board, Mark was not liscensed or bonded and the CCB will penalize him for working illegaly, the CCB would not bother with you for using an unliscenced contractor but Mark new better and should be penalized.
