Main Line Auto Transport review: All the claims from MLAT are lies! 1

Actually, the company also has a salesman, Johny, a customer person, Anita, and a Dispatcher. I also filed a complaint at the So Fla BBB, #4065816, as of 7/17/06.

Here are the details:
I needed a car transport company to transport my rare classic car from Colorado to So Cal. I was getting quotes when MLAT contacted me. Their selling point was that they were one of the only ones in the industry to do door to door service w/o moving the car from a truck to another. Basically, one could drive the car on the truck and mail the keys, if it wasn't for the Weigh Stations.

When you own a classic, this is VERY important! Because of this technique, they claim the car should be at my door within 3-4 days, a week at very most. The single truck transport was in the contract, not the delivery date.

First, they picked up the car a week late, with a local flatbed. When I learned this, I protested to MLAT, to no avail. Eventually, I got a hold of the local transport. He said the car will be shipped in another week! So there it sat, outside. I protested to MLAT, no one cared. Finally, it made it to LA. The company there said they were waiting for more cars to justify a trip to my town, so here the car sat for another 5 days. I would have been much longer hadn't I decided at that point to come pick up the car myself and eat the 250 miles.

Talking to the car transporters, I realized how they work. Basically, all the claims from MLAT were LIES. MLAT knows what's going on, yet it tries to rip off customers, and breach contracts like there is no tomorrow. I requested my 250 bucks broker fee back, and of course, no answer. It's okay now, I am used to being treated like dirt by MLAT. So I complain, in the hopes that people will read this and NOT BRING THEM BUSINESS! And by the way Mister Gilles Genereux, I am still waiting for your phone call. You can get my number on your copy of my invoice, or at the BBB office. Feel free to call, but I doubt you will do it; you will just do what you do most of the time. Wait for the angry customer you lied to to go away. Pathetic human!
