Madhumita Gupta review: delayed and pilfered baggage. 1

I flew Eithad from Kolkata to Frankfurt on 11th May via Abu Dhabi. On reaching Frankfurt my check in baggage did not arrive and I was told it is left behind in Abu Dhabi. I filled in the forms, I was specifically asked if their were valuables in my suitcase, I mentioned I had some cash and camera and it instantly made me uncomfortable.
When I picked up my baggage after 24 hrs from Nuremberg airport. The lock was intact on arriving home and opening the suitcase all my stuffs were in disarray and my Olympus digital camera and 500 euro cash were gone from the suitcase, the compartment holding it was ripped with a sharp tool.
I called, they said go on line, these things happen all the time, you are not suppose to keep valuables in your check in baggage etc.etc.
I posted a complain on line on 13th May, no acknowledgement or revert not even a docket no;
After coming back to Kolkata I uploaded all the forms and documents for claiming the delayed Baggage compensation, No revert, no autoreply from the official email ID. So its like a wild goose chase, were there is no idea if anyone at Etihad is even taking a look at the complains.
Once bitten twice shy. This is a very bad experience. I dont think I would ever use this Airline. But I expected a more professional approach in their dealings.
