MAACS.com claims to have good customer service and to be reliable. From my experinece this is not even close to the truth. On 09-20-07 I ordered a set of ABU and never got them. I called several times and finally on 12-15-07 I spoke with someone who finally canceled the order which was a lie. I had to e-mail and call several more times and on 12-31-07 I received an e-mail stating they had canceled my order again and that I would have the charges on my credit card reversed. I still have never been reimbursed my money and no one will call me back. This company has no business claiming that "We want you to be completely satisfied with the products and services we provide, so if for whatever reason you are not pleased we will be happy to exchange, refund or offer store credit for your purchase (within 30 days, minus shipping/handling fees)." This was taken off their website and should be removed. If you do not want any problems stay away from this company. I have spoken with many people and I am not the only one that feels this way.

I am just now finding this site after nearly two years of dealing with the same issues with MAACS. I too am not giving up and plan to call my credit card company as well as file with the Maine Attorney General and other options listed here. Thanks for the advice all, just wanted to add my name to the list of complaints against this horrible company!

I placed an order on 4AUG09, and received immediate automated emails from Allison@maacs.com (1) and Helen@maacs.com (2). I replied to both emails, but have not received a response as of 11AUG09.

I have also called the listed telephone number [protected] several times. It has a message that states "the number you have called has new information available." It continues to explain the new information can be retrieved by pressing *. It then mentions you can receive a text mesage and that this service may cost up to $9.99 a month + standard texting fees. Heckofa way to run a business.

Searching the phone number brought me to this website. I am not impressed. On the http://www.maacs.com website, the only contact info listed is Allison@maacs.com for bulk orders.

At this point I have not received my order, cannot verify USPS shipped (I wanted UPS shipping anyway) and I am starting to wonder if there are any live persons on the other end of my order.

If allowed, I will file a dispute with my credit card solely based on their business practices and lack of communication - I can't call them and they have not informed me of a ship date. If I receive my order, I will return it because it did not arrive in a timely manner, and there does not appear to be any customer service what-so-ever.

A search for the Maine Better Business Burea (BBB) shows MAACS has a "F" rating and the Maine Attorney General's settlement against them.
http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/emblems/m-a-a-c-s-inc-in-portland-me-95815/

The BBB lists the following Phone Numbers:
[protected] - recording as reported above
[protected] - can't connect, "all circuits are busy" message every time
[protected] - no answer, no voicemail

MAACS: if you see this, call me at the # listed on my order.

I have had the same problems with my refund. I have been fighting with them fo a year and a half! Being stationed overseas I do alot of online shopping. This is the only company that I have EVER seen that charges you before they actually ship the product.

I have been waiting for about 1.75 years for my ABU's. I ordered from them because a Chief that I deployed with got his ABU's within 3 weeks of ordering them. Well after waiting for a year to get my order they just stopped with all contact. I contacted the BBB and then the Maine Attorney General and still have yet to hear from the Maine AG. Now what I read on here is that she filed bankruptcy, well that means I am out 250 dollars and now get to decide to get APECS or 2 more ABU's, as I need to have 4 ABU's but I also need cold weather gear since my commander is thinking of not allowing Gortex with ABU's this winter.

Well the company went Bankrupt early this year and there was not enough money to pay any of the service members who were ripped off. Today I got a Bankrupt hearing notification for Ms. Allison MacDonald who is also known as Allison A Clark and recides at 10802 Monticello Drive, Great Falls Virginia 22066. She is now declaring personal bankruptsy and as usual will not be able to pay anyone. Allison if you are reading this you are a POS. A lot of good that education did you at the Naval Academy. You advertised yourself as a female disabled veteran and ripped off the men and women who defend your freedom. In another country you would have been harmed but not in the good USA where you can steal and get away with it by going bankrupt.

Got a letter today, this time from the United States Bankruptcy Court of Virginia...so she is such a loser that she filed bankruptcy for her company and herself in Maine and then filed yet again under another name Allison A. Clark 10802 Monticello Dr Great Falls, Va 22066. I am amazed that this person was allowed to ripe off military families members without any consequences. I give her a month an she has another company under another name, and continues to take advantage of people. She says she is a veteran, she isn't even fit to speak the word.

Person she ripped off

My son went to Irag and when he returned he ordered some ABU'S. He paid up front and was told that he shipment was in the mail. He waited 6 months for the shipment that never came. He then made phone calls to them and was told that he would get another ABU at no charge if he not cancel his order. My son did not agree to this and they told him that they would cancel his oder and that they would send a complete refund of his money. He has been waitting 3 yrs. Everytime he calls they say that the person who handles the checks is not in at this time, they then gave him a number that only gets him to an answering machine.
As a father who's son but on the uniform to serve his country, I am outraged at the way this company treats our service men and women. They should not be able to run their company in American because they surely do not sound like their American.
