KSA Servicing - Student Loan review: Paid off my student loan but they held payments for future date! 10

I paid off my student loan on 2.3.13 by making an ACH payment online for the loan payoff amount (as listed on their website for my account) $6, 989.39. The payment was made to my account and I retained a copy of the transaction receipt. KSA debited the funds from my bank account, but when I logged into KSA's website on 2.6.13, it showed that I still owed $1.30 and that my next payment is due in March of 2014. They are holding my payment to collect interest from me for a whole year! This is illegal! I could only pay the payoff amount on their website--it wouldn't let me add any extra for any interest that might accrue when I made the payment on 2.3.13. I made a second ACH payment for the payoff amount that they listed of $1.30 on 2.6.13. On 2.7.13, I logged on again to see that they are still saying that I owe this money and are holding my payoff amount as a future payment until March of 2014. I can't get a hold of anyone by phone because they are only open when I am working and the little time I have during my lunch break I am placed on hold by the VRU. They do not have an email (not a published one) and when I message them through the secure messaging system in my account, they do not even send out an acknowledgement that they have received my email.

You obviously didn't read the post. This has nothing to do with my bill pay through my bank. I pay KSA directly through their website. I need for them to send me a letter stating that my loan has been paid off (as I paid it off in full).

KSA is horrible! My credit is ruined. I'm almost 50 years old and can't even get approved for an auto loan. I'm disgusted. I was locked out of their website for weeks. I called the number on the website and got a different business! I tried back the next day and got a message stating the number was no longer in service. This went on for about 3 weeks. In March, I received a letter from KSA indicating that my payment was late but if I pay now, it won't be reported to my credit agency. I called the number on the statement and got through to a representative. I made a payment immediately. I then received another late payment bill the next month. I called KSA again and they "couldn't find" my payment. I was on the phone with the rep for almost 2 hours and she finally "found" the payment. I thought all was good until I was denied a basic car loan this week. I'm furious and don't know how to correct their error.

we also got stuck with kSA after direct loans transferred some of their student loans to other vendors. In the beginning...KSA login was simple and our info seemed to transfer perfect. that was the one and only time their system worked. from that day on everytime I tried to login I was locked out for some reason. I would call, wait for an extended period and everytime they were supposedly working on the problem but it never got fixed. then they went thru a phase where you would dial their only number and it would say the number was not in service. called everyone, from the FAFSA # to the old direct loan # and the dept of education. it seems that they shut their phone off if they are swamped with more calls than they can handle. what a way to run a business. I finally just mailed our payments because you couldn't login to pay online. the problem with that is it would take forever for it to post and we would get delinquent notices. I can not believe the dept of education would have a loan servicer that was so unprepared to handle the task that they can't give you any answer on your loan and no nothing about student loans. AND now today we get 5 letters, some are forms for different payment arrangements (deferments, forebearance etc) and we don't need or requested any of this info. and the last letter said they are now transferring our loan to Aspire. who in the world is that. and how can they keep transferring our loans all around the country. I read in another post that they thought their loan was sold but I think these companies are just servicing the loans and the dept of education still own the loans but who knows. so now I have no one to call until August 9th when Aspire is servicing our loan. not sure who to sent this months payment to. I even emailed direct loans and ask them to take us back. got an email saying we should refer all our requests to our loan servicer. .

I hate KSA with all my heart and then some! I frequently get locked out of their website for no reason and I just tried signing in, and the website wouldn't let me, stating that my loans were sold to another loan company, and then the website locked me out...and of course when I call KSA, they are closed (as always). The few times I've been forced to call their office, I've waited on the phone for no less than 30 minutes...even if I call them first thing in the morning. What is even more confusing is that they send me notices through the mail, and when I call about it, they say they have no idea what I'm talking about. Like I just received a letter today saying that I needed to pay off my interest, but when I go to sign into the website to do this, they say that my loan isn't with them anymore. WTF?! They also told me that I can't make additional payments online without advancing my due date, which I don't want to do...that's the whole point of being able to make an additional payment! To pay extra on months that I can! Also...I have direct payment with them and for some reason received a notice in the mail saying that my payment was late...isn't that the point of having direct payments?!?!?! KSA is an inept company and their business ethic is completely flawed!

I'm extremely disappointed with KSA. I got locked out of the website because I apparently can't spell my fathers middle name. I called customer service to make a payment through their automated system but was told my account should be handled by a customer service representative. It's midnight on Saturday so of course no one is there.
Every time I try to make a payment something gets screwed up; either my username or password.
Wish it was still Direct Loans...

I am currently sitting here waiting on the phone with KSA; it's 9:15 am--I called as soon as the line opened at 9 am. I was the 2nd caller after 2 min., then the 1st called after 10 min, then I became the 2nd caller again...now I'm the 1st caller. How can I be the 1st caller, but no one is answering. This is my 3rd day attempting to reach someone over at KSA after the apparent "lock-out" of my account. I have no interest in dealing with a company with bad customer service. Does anyone have tips on obtaining another servicer or how to consolidate?

KSA Student loan servicing sucks. The servicing of my loan was outsourced to them in January. They keep claiming I am behind on payments. I tried logging in to my account via their website so I could figure out what is wrong; what payments are showing; I get a server error message. I tried calling them about being locked out of the website, and have spent over half an hour waiting each time and never get through. Finally got through today; the very pleasant woman tried to reset my password, then said she had to call me back because it was a more complicated problem and she needed to involve their tech support. Called back, told me tech support was backed up with "an unusual volume of calls" and she would call me back at a specified time today to deal with the problem. No call back. I have called again, it's been over 30 minutes, and I am the "seventh caller in line." Who has time to spend waiting to get through to them?

I've had excellent service with KSA. The previous servicer (Direct Loan Servicing) was absolutely terrible. I paid one of my loans off but accidently paid a few dollars short and they advised after 30 days it would be automatically be adjusted, which it was. The CSR even told me how to pay my higher interest rate loan first.

KSA is crooked. They refuse to allow me to pay on one of my high interest loans. Instead they force a consolidated loan payment even though the interest rates vary widely for each one of my loans. Support is about as bad as it can be. Impossible to reach via phone or email.

Just send them remainder through your bank bill pay, that should take care of it.
