I had read the comments of previous clients of Joseph Santarelli of JDS Luxury Homes and understand and sympathize with all. However, I decided to go ahead with the construction of our new home with ME paying all of the subcontractors. Before I go into details, we were very pleased with the whole process and final product. Sure there were issues with a couple of the subs, but they were addressed and taken care of.
I had approached Joe about the complaints and listened and watched as he spoke. With my wife being a REALTOR, we certainly know what the market is here and, since we deal with people from all parts of the country, know what troubles are out there. So, hearing Joe's history did not surprise us at all. Even in our market, which has not been as hard hit, we still have large, well established builders going under. After all was said and done, we decided to give him a shot knowing that we controlled the funds and that, if necessary, we could fire him and get another general contractor to complete the job.
We were not disappointed. He got us some great deals on product and labor. He made suggestions to get more for our money than what we would have otherwise. He worked hard at the business side as well as got dirty doing the labor part himself when need be. I could go on and on, but, if you want to know more, please contact me by email that I will provide in just a moment. But, I will say that I don't want email from folks that have already posted and just want to argue with me. I know your story and I totally sympathize with you. From my heart I really feel bad for you. But, this is MY experience with Joe and it was a great one. I am giving my email because I believe in the ethical work Joe did for my family and I don't mind sharing. My email for those of you who want to know more or get some pictures of our home is [protected]@hotmail.com.
Finally, I am not a business partner of Joe's, nor am I getting ANYTHING from this comment, nor am I JOE! I just think that there are always 2 sides of the coin and we need to look at both before we say the coin is tarnished.
Thank you.
