My Jonway 125 is over 2500 Km reading. It was in several times for repairs, with no solution.
It is a problem from the start and I give up on Jonway agents. I want a new scooter or money back!
It cuts out, at the beginning- it shakes and cut out over 70 Km/h. After the first service and Jonway repairs, it cuts out when idle after a few km's drive, and I have to jumpstart in trafic. It is a safety problem on road. I don't have any trust in the bike or in my garentee. I bought it from Autoveld, Paul Kruger, Pta, (no service), Jonway agents worked on it, and Centurion Scooter & Service Centre worked on it, and still a problem! Seems to me overheating and cutting out while on the road is main complain

Road Safety Problem- Results
Thank you HelloPeter.com for your service. Guys, it really works! I’m not going to thank Jonway for fixing the problems after my “MAJOR complain” on hellowpeter.com, and trying to get a “new scooter or money back” and Centurion Scooter & Service Centre’s “MAJOR service” with the some problem remains and some old one’s back as well- that after the service . The scooter was 7 times in for repairs and almost at 2900 km’s at the meter before fixing, and Jonway still deny that there was any problem. Because, if they admit it, I have a case. Well Jonway, it seems to be fixed now, and I suppose I have to accept that I’ll sit with it, but I still do not have trust in it or in Jonway. What about a new “guarantee from delivery (fixing) time? I will further challenge you by saying I’m willing to make a statement on oath that my accusations are true- are you AND your specialists working on the scooter are willing to do the same? Have you and Centurion Scooter & Service Centre have any integrity for their miserable service (Major Service)? You people should be forced to at least publicly admit and ask excuse for such bad service, or, if you really want to react on all this accusations, do it publicly, so that people can hear. As I learned long ago: “put your money where your mouth is and put it on paper.. Well, thanks again to HelloPeter.com

Road Safety Problem- Continue

Everything is not clear with Jonway scooter after all. For a short while everything seems Ok after the last repair, that is after Jonway worked on it after my Hellowpeter.com complain on Internet. It still cuts out in traffic, less but still a problem, and with no automatic starter working, struggle with kick- starter in traffic stay a safety problem! Another problem is the vibrating/ shaking while driving. It always vibrates/ shaking, but its worse since the last Jonway “fix.” The screws/ bolts vibrate loose in a short period. After I drove more than the usual short distances it looses three screws and a side panel, and a screw that fits the foot rest bracket underneath the scooter. It is not easy to drive a 12.5 km back home with no place to rest your feet while driving a two wheel scooter! Now I understand why the change of rubbers of exhaust gasket at the second service! It is caused by the constant vibration while driving! Seems to me my only solution is to put a complain with the Consumers Council (Verbruikersraad)

My HelloPeter.com complaints was unsuccessfull at the end, so I complaint at ombudsman at
Motor Industry Ombudsman – complaints (mi.ombudsman@netactive.co.za)

I bought a Jonway scooter from an agent. I have problems with it from the start, took it back for repairs with no result. I report the agent to Jonway complaints. Jonway worked on it twice, with no solution. The main problem that still remains after 4400 Km’s on the clock is unexpectedly cutting out in traffic and constant vibrating. The cutting out in traffic is a road safety problem and I do not want to cope and worry about my safety in traffic anymore. I already asked my money back from the agents, but no reaction. I do not feel safe to drive the scooter and want no negotiation with Jonway at this stage. What can I do?

Thus: After several complaint and "repairs" my Jonway scooter still cut out, among other problems! A Jonway Head Office agent advise me to take the scooter after Jonway agents had it foe repairs, to a Johnway specialist at Centurion Scooter & Service Centre.
After a Major service at my cost, the problem is not fixed but, except for the cutting out in trafic, the selfstarter does not work,
the petrol meter works on and off, it still backfire. After a major service of R780.00 and labour R300 p/h (Change of rubbers and exhaust gasket). That doesn't sound like reasonable after the scooter is not fixt jet! I am advised to consider Upgrade!
Bottom line is: At this stage I am not interested in more "repairs" at my cost amd time, but a solution!

I have the similat problems with the place in PTA called BIKE MASTERS. You pay for service and its not done. I had to replace the engine after 180km on the clock. I have a complaint again about the service. Oil leaks on the seats, no service, empty job cards and just plain do-not -care attitude. Where is the no-limit bikes. I don;t hear any problems from that brand. I am also sending a CC copy of my compaint to China, head office to hear what they have to say.

My Jonway raptor Spider's gearbox broke down on 30 January 2012 on my way to work. After phoning Bike Boutique in Worcester, they told me to phone the AA which was very helpfull. They took the Bike to Scooter World in Somerset-West, but they do not want to do any prepairs on the Bike, so the Thursday 2nd February it was taken to TS Motorcycles in Somerset-West. The gearbox was stripped and the parts was ordered. After one week the parts arrived, but discov81ered that not all the parts was ordered. There still was a needle bearing to be ordered. It is now the 22nd of February and still nothing has done to the bike. I told them that I need the bike urgently, because I travel from work to home. I think that the after service is pathetic. In the meantime I have to pay the insalment, What do you think I should do about this? I think that the Bike shop where I bought the bike should pay my petrol of R1200 which was suppost to be R400 or maybe just took the bike back and gave me back the money that I already paid. Please phone me between one and two in the afternoon on [protected] or phone my wife at any time on [protected] or [protected]
