We engaged Mr. Ramp for a family law matter. We found him difficult to communicate with and very angry. The work was almost random. He was aggressive and confrontational in person, but did not have a sound understanding of the facts of the case or the law. It is unusual to have an attorney that has been licensed for many years not know basic civil procedure rules.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

John J Ramp works for a Vietnamese office manager. He is incompetent...does not know what he is doing. May be ok for small personal injury case that requires simple paperwork and basic filings. He has already upset many Vietnamese because does not show up to depositions and hearings. When he does, he is usually drunk and/or on medication. Should have been disbarred a long time ago, and just for not paying child support. There are many poorly skilled, unethical, malfunctioning attorneys out there. This is just another sad example.
john j ramp is a deadbeat dad. he was disbarred for not paying child support. he sleeps in his car and smells real bad. i think he passed the bar a long time ago when it was easy. i am sorry for any vietnamese who hires him as a lawyer. you are better off representing yourself.

John J. Ramp is a lawyer from Huntington Beach. He works for a group of Vietnamese runners, and had been suspended by the California bar not too long ago. You can look him up on calbar.org. He is a failed lawyer too lazy and confused to do anything but show up occassionally and scream. He is also a frequent visitor to Vietnamese coffee shops and hostess bars.
