Jersey Boys Painting and Powerwashing review: Painter not showing up/ continually canceling appointments/ not returning my deposit

3/28/23 Frank from Jersey Boys arrived at my home for estimate. I verbally asked to be scheduled in April. He called me 4/23/23 stating he couldn’t comply for April. 4/23/23 he emailed the contract for approval. I mailed him the requested check for $2124.59 (a deposit) on 4/25/24 with an agreement for work to start on 5/8/23. I called him on 5/7/23 to confirm appointment. He never reached out to me. I was told he meant to text me but we need to reschedule due to illness. Now 2 start dates cancelled. New start date scheduled for 6/11/23. Once again I reached out to Frank on 6/10/23 to confirm start date as I heard nothing from him. He stated he was 2 weeks behind on a job in Brigantine and wanted me to provide other dates. I told him I wish he had told me ASAP as I have rearranged my schedules to accommodate him, even missing out on family vacation time to get this thing going. My home has had bare walls & been in disarray since March waiting on them. I also stated I didn’t know when or if I could reschedule for fear of more cancellations. After our family vacation, I contacted Frank on 6/10/23 to cancel and have my deposit returned. His office said he was on vacation for two weeks and he will contact me when he returns. 8/7/23 there is still nothing from Frank. His office said he’s out of town until following Monday. Now told someone else reaching out to me on 9/9/23. From 6/10/23 until 11/2/23, I have gotten nothing but more put offs comparable to what I have stated along with being told he was keeping $400 (later $100) for breach of contract. Contract was never signed by me and states nothing about any monies withheld for any reason. He breached his contract by continuing to not show up on scheduled dates. He has given me 2 different dates a check was mailed out — 9/22/23,10/4/23. As of 11/2/23 still no check. As of 10/9/23, he stopped responding to any calls, emails, or texts from me. My husband called from a separate phone line Frank would not link to us so he answered. My husband asked about the check and for a resolution. Frank said in an email that when he returns from Italy on 11/8/23 “ I promise you if I have to hand deliver a check I will make sure this is done “. This is where my situation is as of 11/2/23.
