Jerome’s ElCajon, CA. review: Not honoring an in person verbal price

I came to Jerome’s about 2 weeks ago. The sales rep Julia at the El Cajon store, assisted me with several items I was interested in.

I, in particular was looking at the Jambi 87” outdoor table as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Jules looked it up and told me it would be 1,059 and change.

I called the store a week later and was informed Jules had to take leave because she had COVID. The sales rep that answered the phone was less than pleasant and told me the table was over 1,300 and he would not order it for me at the previous given price

I came into store today 12/7 to order the table. Talked with Jules again, and she apologized but could do nothing to honor the price she gave me. She even called her manager and apparently he told her no military discounts, no honoring the price.

I have made multiple purchases from this company and this store. This is not how I remember being treated so curtly.

My daughter really wants this table so I’m going to find it elsewhere I think

Bad business practice. I understand the times and price changes, but there was no compromise even offered.

Desired outcome: Honor the $1,059. Price I was given on my first visit. And in time for a Christmas pick upThank you
