Jeff Summers Overhead Installer review: Workmanship by owner jeff summers cut steel door frame.. Causing big problem.

I purchased a door with a remote from Jeff Summers, the owner of Overhead Door. The remote control went bad and caused the door to crash and fall onto my jeep, damaging the door. Jeff took away the old door, claiming it was not fixable, and now it's in his yard. He installed a replacement door but cut away steel from my building's door frame in the process. This has left a big hole on both sides of the door opening, and even when closed, the door area has holes. As a result, birds, a bat, bugs, and rain enter the building.

I have sent letters, made phone calls, and visited Jeff's business, but he refuses to repair the damages he caused. He is listed as the only professional overhead installer in this area and is not a member of the BBB.

I kindly request that you investigate his work at Landmark Overhead Garage Doors. He needs to perform work that is honest and decent. Cutting away a door frame, which is the main support, is unacceptable. He claimed he needed to cut the area away to make the new door fit, but he only showed me a rubber strip and then proceeded to cut away the steel frame.

I'm seeking your help and suggestions. I paid him $800 before realizing the situation he left me in. $800 is half of my monthly social security income, which is a significant amount for a senior like me. This job should never have been done to ruin my steel-framed doorway.
