Jay's Guns & Accessories, Crestview, FL review: Rip off

Never owned a handgun and thought it might be good for home protection. Went to Jay's as I support small, local businesses. I told them (Mike) that I knew next to nothing about small arms and ask for his recommendation. He asked me my price range and he showed me a Ruger Security-9 and I really liked the feel of it. I hadn't done any research, was naive and was fully dependent on him to guide me. He told me the price which was in my price range so I agreed to buy it. He also said I would need ammo and added a box of 50 Winchester 9mm shells. I noticed on the receipt there was a statement "No Refunds on firearms, ammo or special orders". I asked about that and he said not to worry about it because it was there for them to avoid being "ripped off" by customers.(hindsight, red flag) I was told I had to wait 3 work days before I could pick up the gun. I left the store with the shells and went home. I wanted to learn about the gun so I looked it up. Much to my shock, I paid $100 over MSRP! I found other retailers that sold it under MSRP. The ammo was double what other stores were selling it for. I feel defrauded because they took advantage of my ignorance. I'm not sure if I should confront them or dispute the charge with Chase Bank. I have not returned to pick up the gun as I await your guidance. Thank you very much.
