We are a family of 4, who every summer, during half term holidays, travels to Europe (ferries tickets already booked). Early March 2023 we started to search a family vehicle in Japan. Why Japan? Quality, comfort and excellent general condition of the vehicles. Japanese Car Trader (JCT) was our 1st step of search.

JAPAN - 455-0848, has got in touch with me via WhatsApp to introduce himself within this company and services they offer. Our details and search were provided by Japanese Car Trader (JCT), where this company holds a Gold Member badge. We contacted JCT to confirm their presence - confirmation received. We have also got in touch with Subash, J&A TRADING CORPORATION PVT. LDT. operating manager, to confirm presence of Hassan Khan - confirmation received. We started communication in relation to purchasing a vehicle for our family. We had few offers. Entries of car search were slightly amended and Hassan has offered us a unit that was suitable for our family needs. The communication was straight forward. 1st April 2023 Hassan has confirmed that if vehicle will be purchased till 15th April 2023 it will be shipped before 15th April 2023. 3rd April 2023 Hassan has called us and reassured the chosen unit availability and shipment procedure. Details for the Invoice were send over. Invoice received for 13 800.00 USD (11,500.00 GBP) - 100% payment done. 5th April 2023 money has been reached by the company and Hassan confirmed starting shipping arrangement. Communication ever since was dropped significantly. Once in a while, Hassan would reply including promises and excuses. 9th May 2023 we still had no any information about the status of the vehicle we paid for and its shipping details. 10th May 2023 we called Hassan. He reassured, once again, that everything is getting to the shipping point and within few days we should get the confirmed date. 11th May 2023 Hassan texted us with confirmation of 21st May loading. After - 2 days we meant to receive scanned documents and 5 days for originals by courier. Ever since 11th May 2023 we had no communication at all. On 25th May 2023 - nobody replied or answered our direct phone call. So, we have filed the official refund request on 25th May 2023. Subash, the operation manager, contacted us back to discuss the matter. He confirmed that our vehicle was already loaded to a container together with other 3 vehicles that belong to other UK clients. Container sealed. He provided photos. But… The details of the vehicle he provided did not correspond to the vehicle we received an Invoice and paid for. It was a different car (different VIN number etc.). Container, the vehicle was loaded to, belongs to UK company (I understood their partner). So… Wrong vehicle, no any documents and contained under some other company name.

We requested the 100% refund due to unfulfilled agreement. He agreed but... ever since he just wastes the time and no refund received. Today is already 20th June 2023 but still no refund received.

OTHER DETAILS: Originally, we received an Invoice in USD. Paid via bank transfer to their company bank account. When we asked for a refund, Subash, has informed that they will refund in Japanese Yen the amount they received that makes us of loosing over £1000 at not our fault. Is this right procedure?

Our holidays are approaching with all arranged but no vehicle to travel with due to no refund received to purchase other vehicle directly in UK (no time left for shipping from overseas).

We have all evidence of communication with Hassan Khan and Subash. Also we attach some documents. If you require anything else please let us know.

We would very much appreciate your help in solving this matter asap.

Desired outcome: 100% Refund in USD or GBP
