This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

We are a start up and small business but as we were going through the post covid time we felt we need to work at a regular office for a day or two a week.
We saw an advert for Spaces (a trading name for Regus and owned by IWG) and made the call to the sales guy to go about setting up a one month trial.
We started the trial on 3rd November 2021.

It was clear that although the space was excellent, we were not yet in a place to able to dedicated blocks of time to working in a spaces office and so within 4 working days we contacted the sales guy to cancel the trial.
We also informed him that the contract he gave us was actually a Regus contract and that the Spaces and Spaces apps would not allow us to check in or out of the space. It also would not allow us to terminate the contract.
He told us that it was on Regus contract paper because he had run out of Spaces contracts! He also told me not too worry and he would have the contract cancelled.

On the 15th of November we received the invoice for the following month and when we contacted the sales guy again he had changed his tone and said that this was a rolling contract and that so it could not be cancelled until the following full calendar month. That is, because we took out teh contract on the 3rd November it was not possible to cancel it until he 3rd December and it would remain in force until the 3rd February.

I said that this does not make sense as it was clearly agreed to be a trial and we had decided not to continue the trial.
He advised us to contact the finance team. They were nearly impossible to contact but eventually we did get through to a guy who told us again to cancel through the web portal but that they would not take a retrospective cancellation.
they tool=k money form our account in December and tried taking it again in January and february.

Our bank, thankfully, cancelled the payments, refunded the money taken in December and cancelled the direct debit along with putting a watch on our account. They did this based on us sending over copies of our correspondence and discontented times of phone calls etc.
Things went quiet but then around 7-8 months ago we started to get calls, letters and emails from a solicitors firm and they were now charging much more money and getting fairly agressive. When we reply ot the phone call it goes through to an automated payment line and the emails are all NO REPLY.

So, we are getting angry and worried. Angry that this is costing us time and foxis at a time when we need ot be growing the business and worried that they will file bad credit reports against the business and potentially go to court behind our back.

Desired outcome: Regus to accept that they should have cancelled the contract. Apologise for eh inconvenience and assure us that no further action will be taken by them or their appointed solicitors.
