I am a former store manager. Our mission is removing barriers and create opportunities. Keep that in mind when you're reading what I have to say. I started out as an asst store manager. When I started with this company I almost ran for the hills. During my interview the then store manager took 2 personal calls and another store manager felt that it was unprofessional and apologized and gave me a tour. She is the one who hired and trained me. My first few weeks I had to find my own things to do I was never given keys and felt unwelcomed and unwanted at this store. The store manager wouldn't even allow me to put my car keys in "HER" office. The director of Marketing had called to apologize for this behavior. As time went on that manager quit. Then the one who trained me came in as acting store manager for almost a year she trained me to take over when she left but instead, they brought in this guy who friends with the area manager. I caught him stealing and reported it they did their investigation and found what I said was in fact true. At that point they then promoted me on a trial basis, "If I did well it would be permanent" My team worked, and we were successful. My team respected me we all worked well together. as a store manager I should be able to make decisions for the store within the store's best interests. I had posted on my FB page about a shop lifter assulting me and asked if anyone knew him. A whole year later I was given a FINAL written corrective action. A YEAR LATER! this is the issue I have I feel as though someone in HR doesn't like me and is setting up to fail. Why wait a year later to write me up? Here is the most recent and final issue. I had an employee who was single handedly creating a very HOSTILE work environment. I would receive staff complaints and even customer complaints DAILY about this employee. Granted I had other staff members with their faults which are all documented. This employee was not in compliance with the company attendance and dress code policies. Our policy is very laxed compared to most. It is not hard to abide by. I had documented everything as I was TRAINED by corp trainers to do. I did a written corrective action on attendance Jan 2022 which to fault myself since I am not by any means perfect should have done this sooner, I felt bad since this employee had legit reasons to be absent, but policy is policy. I also did a corrective action for dress code Feb 2022. This employee had worn ripped jeans and a crop top to work, strictly against company policy. She was asked to go home and change her clothes; she left and did not return that day. She wore those jeans the next day, she was sent home again 2 more times that same week (she was purposely wearing them to get sent home) I did a written corrective action and she told staff that I "wrote her up because I was jealous of her hour glass figure" During this same time I found out that my Asst manager was stealing company time I reported it to HR and my direct supervisor they then came down and SUSPENDED ME (hello... I am the one who reported this why am I being punished) the next day they asked me to return as they did their investigation and terminated my asst manager. They placed me on a PIP (performance improvement period) confused but understood and complied. During this time, I learned new ways to log and document everything. I had also during this time talked with corp. trainers, HR, resource coordinator's, my direct supervisor, other store managers and the safety audit and lost prevention personnel about this employee. We had an HR and all store manager meeting where I also openly discussed issues pertaining to this employee without mentioning any names, I was told to document everything and reach to HR for help on corrective actions and coaching's for staff (WHICH I DID) I had already been doing that. I come back from that meeting and the next day during the night shift I get 2 phone calls about this SAME employee I told them I needed it in writing (that's what was said to be done at the meeting) I come in the next morning (literally 2 days after the meeting) to a written customer complaint. This employee called HR and made a complaint about my new asst mgr. (NOT ME) about the incident I had told them I needed in writing. She didn't follow chain of command and my requests went unnoticed 2 weeks go by and corp trainer shows up to "reset shelves" (they had already been reset) around noon that day the corp trainer then avoided being around me. I felt weird about this. That afternoon my supervisor came in and terminated me for "retaliation" I did not sign the termination paper and as she walked me out, she told me to file an appeal. Not only did they fire me for documenting and asking for help with this employee, but they also gave her a transfer which is against their own policy since she had corrective actions less than 6 months old. They also denied my appeal the day before it was formally entered, and they banned me from store. They never answered any of my questions or concerns about this employee. Also, I found out and have witnesses that another store manager knew about my termination the day before I did. One of my staff members is the aunt to the other store manager that knew before me. Hr also told all of the staff that I was not allowed on the property and to call 911 if they see me. I left quietly and never made a scene, but I lose my job and get banned and to top it off they told the staff that if they talk to me, they will be fired as well. I have had friends and family who shop there that didn't know anything, and they told them I had been fired. Not only was I humiliated in front of my staff yet again I am being punished for someone else's actions the termination paper stated, "I was holding staff accountable but displayed retaliatory behavior". How? They ignored all my questions and concerns. Now they are breaching confidentiality AGAIN by telling customers that I was fired.

Desired outcome: I want my job back with pay increase. Termination of Head of HR and the area manager.
